Senior Golang Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Develop and enhance scalable backend services using Go, emphasizing system performance, stability, and maintainable engineering practices.

• Engage in technical decision-making regarding application architecture, infrastructure, and the long-term evolution of backend systems.

• Create clean, well-organized, and testable code accompanied by thorough documentation and high engineering standards.

• Participate in peer code reviews and offer constructive technical feedback.

• Manage complex data flows and backend components to ensure reliable processing and data integrity.

• Collaborate with engineers in technical discussions, estimations, planning, and project delivery within a Scrum framework.

• Take ownership of assigned development tasks and independently organize daily work based on team priorities.

⛳️ Requirements

• Robust senior-level engineering experience with over 7 years in commercial software development, including 4+ recent years primarily focused on Go.

• Demonstrated success in building backend solutions specifically for betting products; relevant industry experience is crucial.

• Deep understanding of Go internals, including concurrency, data structures, memory management, and garbage collection.

• Strong database engineering capabilities, with extensive experience in relational databases.

• Proficient in troubleshooting, tuning, and optimizing complex SQL queries.

• Comfortable operating within Linux-based environments.

• Practical experience with containerization technologies such as Docker.

• Hands-on experience with Kafka and Kubernetes in production settings.

• Skilled in designing code for testability and maintaining reliable unit test coverage.

• Intermediate proficiency in English.

• Upper-Intermediate proficiency in Russian.

• Experience with financial, transactional, or similarly data-sensitive systems is advantageous.

• Familiarity with distributed, microservice-based architectures is a plus.

• Knowledge of Domain-Driven Design, Clean Architecture, or Hexagonal Architecture is desirable.

• Prior hands-on experience with PostgreSQL and ClickHouse is an added advantage.
