Senior GIS Technical Lead

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United Kingdom.

📋 Description

• Serve as the technical authority for GIS platforms and solutions.

• Deliver technical leadership, architectural guidance, solution assurance, and expert support across ArcGIS Enterprise, Utility Network, integrations, and essential GIS services.

• Provide senior technical ownership, governance, and specialized support for enterprise GIS platforms, integrations, and Utility Network services.

• Oversee technical activities related to ArcGIS Enterprise.

• Lead the migration of Utility Network and manage post-Go-Live technical activities.

• Supervise technical activities related to GIS integration and applications.

• Manage technical activities concerning enterprise geodatabases.

• Offer production support and ensure operational assurance.

• Facilitate knowledge transfer within the organization.

• Provide technical support to stakeholders, project teams, operational teams, and customer teams.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 5 years of experience in administering and supporting ArcGIS Enterprise environments.

• More than 3 years of experience in integrating GIS with corporate applications, REST APIs, and ETL tools, including FME.

• Over 3 years of experience in administering enterprise multi-user geodatabases, including both traditional and branch versioning.

• In-depth understanding of ArcGIS Utility Network architecture, topology, validation, editing workflows, and operational processes.

• Experience in supporting Utility Network migration, testing, Go-Live readiness, and post-Go-Live technical support.

• Proven experience in supporting ArcGIS Enterprise deployments in production and critical business environments.

• Proficient in troubleshooting complex GIS platform, integration, geodatabase, and application issues.

• Familiarity with GIS security, authentication, enterprise architecture, and supportability principles.

• Experience in delivering or supporting GIS projects for electricity utilities, energy distributors, or critical infrastructure organizations.

• Background in the maintenance, evolution, and digital transformation of corporate GIS systems.

• Experience in supporting operational GIS services and project delivery activities from a technical standpoint.

• Proven track record of working in multinational corporate environments and multidisciplinary technical teams.

• Experience in supporting critical systems and production environments.

• Ability to lead technical analysis and coordinate technical activities across GIS, infrastructure, databases, networks, and security.

• ArcGIS Utility Network certification and/or other ESRI technical certifications are considered advantageous.

• Familiarity with ArcGIS Workflow Manager, ArcGIS Monitor, ArcGIS Experience Builder, ArcGIS Pro administration and support, FME certification or advanced FME experience, ITIL Foundation or practical service-management awareness, Agile methodologies, and cloud-hosted GIS environments, preferably Microsoft Azure, is desirable.

• Strong skills in technical ownership, decision-making, analytical thinking, troubleshooting, and root cause analysis.

• Ability to convey complex GIS concepts in a clear and professional manner.

• Structured approach to technical governance, documentation, standards, and supportability.

• Collaborative working style with the capability to mentor and technically guide team members.

• Ability to prioritize technical tasks and provide specialized support for urgent or ad-hoc technical requests.
