
Senior Generalist Surveyor – Healthcare

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Arizona, +6 more states.
• Contribute as a member of the healthcare survey team to ensure that providers adhere to DNV guidelines, principles, written instructions, ISO 9001 quality management standards, and NIAHO accreditation criteria.
• Operate independently to evaluate healthcare organizations across the United States.
• Analyze and assess to ascertain the compliance of healthcare organizations with relevant standards and ISO principles.
• Draft management reports that connect standard nonconformities with potential system vulnerabilities and organizational risk factors.
• Engage constructively and collegially with healthcare organization staff regarding standards-based matters.
• Evaluate compliance and identify areas for improving adherence.
• Supervise, mentor, and/or train other members of the survey team when applicable.
• Participate in scheduled educational calls.
• Fulfill ongoing training and educational requirements as mandated.
• Get involved in additional DNV activities as assigned.
• A minimum of five (5) years of experience in the healthcare sector or a related field such as risk or quality management.
• Exceptional customer service skills.
• Proficient in MS Office, capable of creating accurate and timely reports.
• Strong ethical standards.
• Willingness and ability to travel to client sites up to 100% of the time, which includes mostly overnight stays and frequent U.S. travel outside of standard working hours and occasional weekends.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
• Comfort speaking in public settings.
• Strong critical thinking, interpersonal, problem-solving, interviewing, teamwork, organizational, analytical, empathetic, communication, calm response, and decision-making skills.
• Valid driver’s license with the ability to rent and operate a vehicle, as well as utilize public transportation when necessary.
• Successful completion of a pre-employment background check and drug screening.
• Capability to work in environments with infectious diseases.
• Adaptability to changing environments and ability to manage multiple priorities.
• Physical capability to walk and stand for extended periods, traverse long distances, lift, climb, stoop, push, and pull for the inspection of medical facilities, equipment, procedures, and cleanliness-sensitive areas.
• Ability to lift and carry up to 25 lbs., transport luggage and a computer, and perform various physical movements including reaching, bending, twisting, stooping, kneeling, pushing, and pulling.
• Competence in navigating airport environments and fulfilling other travel-related requirements.
• Bachelor’s degree in healthcare or a related field of study is preferred.
• NIAHO Standards Application experience is preferred.
• ISO 9001 experience is preferred.
• Auditor experience and familiarity with standards is preferred.
