This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in New York.
• Design robust and scalable testing methodologies along with red-teaming frameworks for foundational models, multimodal systems, and AI agents.
• Create prompt strategies that address various risk domains, including hate speech, misinformation, intellectual property and copyright violations, and child safety.
• Investigate emerging jailbreak tactics, prompt injection methods, and circumvention strategies.
• Offer technical and policy insights to assist the Program Lead in project scoping, risk assessment, and strategic planning.
• Document, synthesize, and expand Alice’s internal knowledge base related to AI Safety.
• Establish standardized best practices, taxonomies, and research findings across the team.
• Guide junior analysts and enhance analytical standards.
• Manage engagement lifecycles from planning and methodology design through execution, quality assurance, and final delivery.
• Supervise complex, multi-language datasets across various abuse domains.
• Collaborate with engineering, product, policy, and client-facing teams to relay findings and inform mitigation strategies.
• Over 5 years of experience in AI Safety, Responsible AI, Trust & Safety, or related research fields.
• Demonstrated expertise in research design and the development of qualitative or quantitative evaluation methodologies for Generative AI.
• Strong domain knowledge regarding content risks, such as toxicity, copyright issues, misinformation, and violations of safety policies.
• Proven history of project ownership, successfully managing deliverables from start to finish with meticulous attention to detail in dynamic environments.
• Extensive familiarity with contemporary Generative AI architectures, prompt engineering, red-teaming, and AI agents.
• Excellent communication skills to serve as a principal subject-matter expert for program leads, internal teams, and clients.
• Published research in academia, industry whitepapers, or research institutes (preferred).
• Practical experience in evaluating multimodal systems like Text-to-Image, Text-to-Video, and Audio (preferred).
• Background in mentoring, leading, or quality assurance of junior analysts and researchers (preferred).
