This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Germany.
• Take charge of the long-term development of one or two established games with dedicated player communities.
• Design, balance, and enhance economy, progression, and reward systems.
• Develop player motivation loops across various events, features, and monetization strategies.
• Create and sustain a cohesive ecosystem of LiveOps events.
• Design systems that enhance retention, engagement, and monetization while ensuring a positive player experience.
• Construct and maintain economy models, balancing spreadsheets, and simulations.
• Utilize data to pinpoint player friction points, progression bottlenecks, and monetization opportunities.
• Collaborate with Product, BI, UA, Art, and Development teams.
• Analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) such as Retention, ARPDAU, Conversion, LTV, and Engagement.
• Propel feature and event enhancements through testing, iteration, and experimentation.
• Articulate design rationale, trade-offs, and recommendations throughout the team.
• Over 5 years of experience in designing and managing successful free-to-play mobile games.
• Extensive experience in systems design, economy design, progression design, and LiveOps.
• Demonstrated success in working on casual or puzzle games.
• Profound understanding of player motivation, retention mechanics, and monetization strategies.
• Capable of designing and assessing A/B tests and converting data into actionable enhancements.
• Comfortable making decisions grounded in KPIs and player behavior analysis.
• Self-motivated and proactive.
• Quick to grasp new games, systems, and player demographics, with the ability to take ownership of projects.
• Advanced spreadsheet proficiency with experience in building balancing, simulation, and forecasting models.
• Exceptional verbal and written communication skills in English.
• Enthusiastic about creating engaging and sustainable player experiences.
• Proficient in utilizing AI tools for enhanced productivity, analysis, and decision-making.
• Candidates must complete a design test to qualify.
