Senior Fullstack Software Engineer, Quality Platform

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Brazil.

📋 Description

• Utilize AI and tools to spearhead the execution of a test automation strategy encompassing unit, service, integration, and end-to-end testing.

• Construct, sustain, and proficiently employ automated tests for features and releases.

• Partner with engineering teams to guarantee comprehensive test coverage and continuously enhance testing practices.

• Enhance current automation frameworks to accommodate new features and improve quality and efficiency.

• Incorporate automated testing into CI/CD pipelines in collaboration with the CI/CD team.

• Diagnose, isolate problems, validate bug fixes, and debug issues identified during testing and post-release.

• Ensure code quality, uphold craftsmanship, and maintain operational excellence.

• Work alongside product management, development, and other Quality Engineering teams in a dynamic environment.

• Create and uphold quality engineering processes that are scalable for Airbnb’s external clients and internal teams.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 5 years of experience in software engineering and testing within the industry.

• Proven knowledge of at least one web development language, such as TypeScript or JavaScript.

• Proficiency in a backend language, such as Java, Kotlin, Python, or Go.

• In-depth understanding of test automation methodologies, tools, and frameworks.

• Extensive hands-on experience with automation frameworks like Playwright or Cypress.

• Experience in integrating automated tests into CI/CD pipelines, such as Buildkite, Spinnaker, or Jenkins.

• Familiarity with version control systems, including Git.

• Proficient in utilizing quality metrics such as coverage, flaky test rate, suite execution time, and escaped defects.

• Strong communication skills for facilitating cross-functional collaboration.

• Expertise in developing solutions for ambiguous challenges and coordinating across multiple teams.

• Interest in applying AI/LLMs to enhance testing and developer productivity.

• Comfortable collaborating in English.

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science/engineering or a related field.
