Senior Fullstack Software Engineer, Java, React

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Poland.

📋 Description

• Design and enhance a distributed online platform utilizing microservices and micro-frontends.

• Assume full ownership of features spanning both backend and frontend within a single service.

• Create and sustain backend services using Java, Spring Boot, and Spring WebFlux, along with REST APIs and integrations.

• Implement frontend features leveraging React, TypeScript, JavaScript, HTML, and NPM.

• Collaborate with CMS-driven content and content delivery services.

• Introduce new features to the platform and transition legacy applications to contemporary architecture.

• Refactor the codebase, minimize technical debt, and address persistent technical challenges.

• Aid in the adoption of API standards, including TM Forum Open APIs.

• Deploy, manage, monitor, and troubleshoot containerized applications utilizing Kubernetes and Docker.

• Integrate AI coding agents and AI-assisted development workflows into daily engineering practices.

• Play a role in enhancing AI-assisted development methodologies within the team.

• Engage in tasks ranging from short-term assignments to larger projects.

• Participate in knowledge sharing and maintain technical documentation.

• Disseminate technical insights with fellow developers.

⛳️ Requirements

• Several years of professional experience in developing modern web applications, demonstrating strong backend proficiency and Senior-level autonomy.

• Robust practical knowledge of Java 8+ and Spring Boot.

• Experience in REST API design utilizing JSON.

• Familiarity and hands-on experience with reactive programming, Spring WebFlux, Project Reactor, or similar reactive frameworks.

• Frontend experience with React, TypeScript, JavaScript, HTML, and NPM.

• Proficiency with JUnit, Mockito, WireMock, Git, JPA/Hibernate, XSLT, XPath, and XQuery.

• Practical experience with Kubernetes and Docker, including deployment, operation, monitoring, and troubleshooting.

• Experience in developing and enhancing microservice-based and distributed systems.

• Hands-on experience with AI-driven software development tools like GitHub Copilot, OpenCode, coding agents, context management, harness engineering, or spec-driven development.

• Regular application of AI coding agents and the ability to articulate their benefits to development workflows.

• Capability to take ownership of features from design to production and make technical decisions within distributed architectures.

• Proactive, analytical, quality-focused, and committed to continuous improvement.

• Willingness to challenge existing methods, contribute innovative ideas, review code, share knowledge, and support fellow developers.

• Ability to work efficiently in Agile, distributed, and international settings.

• Proficiency in English and Polish, both written and spoken, at a minimum B2 level.

• Nice to have: experience with micro-frontend architectures, Helm charts, Jenkins CI/CD, NEOS CMS, legacy migration, refactoring and technical debt reduction, working within distributed multinational and remote teams, BDD, and Playwright.
