Senior Fullstack Software Developer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Colombia.

📋 Description

• Develop architecture, prototypes, and design proposals that align with the vision of products and platforms.

• Shape technical direction through architecture evaluations, RFCs, design discussions, and collaborative efforts.

• Collaborate with senior developers, architects, and technical leads on the roadmap for product and platform architecture.

• Balance the pace of delivery, quality, maintainability, and the long-term health of the platform.

• Decompose large initiatives into parallelizable tasks that deliver incremental business value.

• Advocate for proposals throughout all stages of the SDLC, from design to production implementation.

• Enhance the core product build, CI/CD pipelines, and the overall software development lifecycle.

• Diagnose persistent production issues and enhance reliability, observability, monitoring, and incident response.

• Create and maintain technical documentation.

• Lead design discussions across various teams.

• Represent the team in technical dialogues with stakeholders from technical, operations, product/UX, security, domain, and external sectors.

• Serve as a trusted technical leader through collaboration, influence, and shared ownership.

• Mentor developers via design reviews, collaborative agentic-AI sessions, and feedback on skills, prompts, and agent inputs.

• Disseminate knowledge of new technologies and best practices in the industry.

• Assess emerging technologies, frameworks, and cloud capabilities.

• Construct and sustain a highly distributed microservice architecture.

• Design and implement highly scalable cloud services and applications.

• Establish front-end architecture standards, including state management, component design, and design-system strategy.

• Collaborate with UX and Product to convert design systems into scalable, accessible components.

• Mentor front-end engineers to enhance performance and accessibility.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or equivalent practical experience.

• Over 8 years of professional software development experience, showing impact beyond a single team.

• Demonstrated experience in designing and operating distributed, cloud-native, SaaS/multi-tenant platforms at scale, preferably on AWS.

• Strong foundation in software principles: OOP, design patterns, SOLID principles, and a commitment to advocating for code quality.

• Familiarity with agentic-AI software development practices.

• Experience designing and utilizing HTTP APIs such as REST or GraphQL.

• Proven ability to mentor developers and influence architectural decisions across teams.

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills; adept at navigating fast-paced environments with ambiguity and changing requirements.

• Strong initiative to enhance processes, tools, methodologies, and product quality.

• Experience building highly distributed microservice architecture using Java 25 and SpringBoot.

• In-depth expertise in Angular or a similar SPA framework and TypeScript.

• Proven experience in owning front-end architecture and design-system strategies at scale.

• Strong background in accessibility (WCAG) and front-end performance optimization.

• Regular use of AI-assisted development tools as part of daily workflows.

• Evaluate and take ownership of AI-generated outputs before deployment.

• Identify opportunities for agentic automation and lead the implementation of AI-assisted workflows and tools.

• Mentor developers on the effective and responsible use of AI-assisted development tools.

• Establish team-level practices and guidelines for the safe and effective utilization of AI tools.

• Develop and refine feedback mechanisms to enhance collective AI tool usage over time.
