Senior Fullstack Engineer – Node, React

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Germany.

📋 Description

• Design and refine the code structure and architecture

• Propel technical decisions forward

• Create and implement new features for casual eCommerce platforms, overseeing everything from architecture to deployment and monitoring

• Develop high-performance, reliable, and secure backend services using Node.js, TypeScript, and NestJS

• Construct frontends utilizing Next.js and React, optimized for speed and SEO

• Guarantee high availability and optimal performance of production systems

• Enhance observability, code quality, and overall code structure

• Guide colleagues, conduct code reviews, and disseminate knowledge throughout the team

• Propose enhancements to improve products for customers

• Recognize technical risks and challenges early, taking ownership of their resolution

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Software Engineering, Computer Science, or equivalent professional experience

• Senior-level engineering experience with RESTful APIs and single-page applications

• Demonstrated success in driving architecture and code structure within a production environment

• Extensive experience with Node.js and TypeScript, including NestJS

• Strong background with Next.js and React

• Familiarity with Google Cloud or similar cloud infrastructures, such as Cloud Run or other container platforms

• Solid understanding of PostgreSQL or other SQL databases, along with TypeORM or an equivalent ORM

• Experience in optimizing web pages for speed and SEO

• Capacity to work independently, prioritize tasks, and progress topics with minimal supervision

• Exceptional critical thinking and analytical skills

• Strong written and verbal communication skills in English

• Comfortable working within an agile framework, participating in standard Scrum ceremonies

• Experience with GitLab CI/CD or similar pipeline systems is advantageous

• Familiarity with observability tools like OpenTelemetry, tracing, metrics, and logging is a plus

• Experience in eCommerce or payment/subscription integrations is a plus

• Knowledge of container technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes is beneficial

• Proficiency in written and verbal German communication skills is a plus
