📋 Description

• Develop and enhance Quicksilver UI, Spotify's multi-channel messaging platform, for the creation, previewing, and delivery of in-app messages, emails, and push notifications.

• Take full ownership of frontend features, managing the entire process from component design and implementation using React and TypeScript to server-side creative rendering.

• Engage with the entire technology stack, including debugging Java and Apollo services, advancing gRPC, Protobuf, and REST API contracts, tracing data through BigQuery, and optimizing pipeline output.

• Facilitate multi-market and localization workflows to ensure seamless new-market launches.

• Collaborate with product and design teams to develop features based on operator requirements.

• Enhance developer experience through improvements in testing infrastructure, build performance, component documentation, and integration tools.

• Participate in architectural decisions and influence technical direction.

⛳️ Requirements

• Proven experience in building complex web applications using TypeScript and modern UI frameworks, including React or similar technologies.

• Strong understanding of state management, GraphQL and Apollo, component-scoped styling, and the design of reusable component libraries.

• Experience in developing tools or platforms for internal users.

• Comfortable working across both frontend and backend systems, including the ability to read or modify Java services and work with API contracts such as gRPC, Protobuf, or REST.

• Proficiency in using Scala/Python when pipelines or APIs require adjustments.

• Capability to navigate cloud infrastructure and data tools, including GCP, GKE, BigQuery, or GCS.

• Ability to make thoughtful technical-debt decisions and clearly communicate trade-offs.

• Experience collaborating across shared codebases and understanding the importance of collaboration around common components and services.

• Familiarity with data pipelines, LLM applications such as RAG or vector search, or server-side rendering is also advantageous.
