Senior Fullstack Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Germany.

📋 Description

• Create resilient services and APIs utilizing Kotlin, Java, or TypeScript, and integrate them into web applications and relevant infrastructure.

• Architect, develop, and test innovative backend services and features.

• Design data models, interfaces, and facilitate integrations with external systems.

• Guarantee the performance, scalability, and security of web platforms and services.

• Implement new features from the API level to the user interface.

• Engage in backend development using Kotlin, Java, or TypeScript (Node.js), and frontend development with TypeScript (React).

• Address bugs and enhance web applications and services.

• Contribute to cloud infrastructure, CI/CD pipelines, and deployments as per project requirements.

• Utilize advanced engineering tools like Cursor or Claude Code.

• Collaborate directly with clients, primarily in a remote setting.

• Mentor team members and disseminate knowledge and best practices.

• Play a role in the professional growth of the organization.

• Stay updated on emerging trends in backend, web, and app development, and evaluate their potential applications.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 5 years of experience in software development, encompassing both backend and web development.

• Proficiency in backend development using Kotlin, Java, or TypeScript (e.g., Node.js).

• Experience in designing and managing APIs (REST and/or GraphQL).

• Background in frontend development with React, Flutter, and TypeScript.

• Strong understanding of web technologies (HTTP, HTML, CSS, TypeScript/JavaScript).

• Familiarity with SQL and/or NoSQL databases (e.g., PostgreSQL, MongoDB).

• Fluency in both German and English for business communication.

• Educational background in computer science, business informatics, or a related discipline (BSc or MSc) is advantageous.

• Experience with Kotlin, particularly Spring Boot, is a plus.

• Knowledge of automated unit and integration testing (e.g., JUnit, Kotest, MockK) and code quality principles is beneficial.

• Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, or Azure), Docker/Kubernetes, Infrastructure as Code, CI/CD, monitoring, and observability is a plus.

• Experience in app development is advantageous.

• Background in an agency or startup environment and familiarity with agile methodologies is a plus.
