Senior FullStack Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Mexico.

📋 Description

• Lead the architecture and design of backend systems and APIs utilizing Python and Flask.

• Take ownership of service-layer architecture, conduct code reviews, and provide backend pattern guidance across full-stack projects.

• Create and implement scalable REST and asynchronous APIs while ensuring a clear separation between service and data access.

• Develop frontend functionalities using React and TypeScript.

• Collaborate with UI teams to deliver comprehensive features and ensure frontend-backend integration.

• Architect and oversee GCP cloud infrastructure, utilizing services such as Cloud Run, Cloud Storage, Secret Manager, IAM, as well as logging and monitoring.

• Design and enhance database solutions with Google Spanner and SQL.

• Model relational data structures and utilize BigQuery for analytics and reporting purposes.

• Implement testing strategies throughout the stack using tools like pytest, Jest, React Testing Library, and Playwright.

• Establish CI/CD pipelines utilizing GitHub Actions and Docker.

• Advocate for security best practices, including dependency management, secrets/configuration management, and secure development workflows.

• Utilize AI-assisted development tools to enhance code exploration, test generation, debugging, and overall productivity.

• Mentor junior and mid-level engineers.

• Oversee technical delivery across feature teams, ensuring alignment in architecture, testing standards, and deployment readiness.

⛳️ Requirements

• In-depth expertise in Python, with strong proficiency in Flask or comparable web frameworks for backend API development.

• Extensive hands-on experience with React and TypeScript, capable of building production-quality frontend features and collaborating on UI/UX delivery.

• Demonstrated experience in designing and developing REST APIs and service-oriented architectures with a focus on scalability and maintainability.

• Solid knowledge of SQL, database design, and best practices in data modeling.

• Practical experience with GCP, including Cloud Run, Cloud Storage, as well as basic IAM and monitoring.

• Familiarity with comprehensive testing strategies, including pytest, Jest, React Testing Library, and end-to-end testing frameworks like Playwright.

• Understanding of CI/CD practices, GitHub Actions, and Docker containerization.

• Knowledge of security best practices, including dependency management, secrets/configuration handling, and secure development workflows.

• Ability to function as a technical lead, mentoring others while owning architectural decisions across full-stack domains.

• Experience or strong potential with AI-assisted development tools and workflows aimed at enhancing code quality and developer productivity.

• Advanced proficiency in English is required for effective communication with global teams.

• A minimum of 5 years of experience in Full-stack Development or related fields such as Backend Engineering or Frontend Development, with a proven track record of leading technical delivery across multiple layers of the stack.

• Experience with Google Spanner or cloud-native databases is a plus.

• Familiarity with BigQuery or data warehousing for analytics use cases is an advantage.

• Experience with agent-based or MCP tool integrations is a plus.

• Knowledge of async/event-driven architectures is beneficial.

• Familiarity with infrastructure-as-code or Terraform is advantageous.
