Senior Full Stack Software Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California.

📋 Description

• Design scalable, secure, and maintainable systems encompassing backend, frontend, and database layers.

• Facilitate design discussions, conduct code reviews, and spearhead engineering best-practice initiatives.

• Assess new technologies and drive the adoption of tools that enhance developer productivity and system performance.

• Establish and document architecture patterns, design principles, and shared libraries for cross-team reuse.

• Collaborate with DevOps on CI/CD pipelines, deployment automation, and observability tools.

• Develop high-quality, production-ready features utilizing modern frameworks and cloud platforms.

• Write clean, testable, and efficient code while contributing to the evolution of coding standards.

• Enhance system performance, minimize technical debt, and boost reliability.

• Collaborate with QA engineers on automated testing strategies and code coverage enhancements.

• Engage in production support rotations and lead root cause analysis and preventive measures.

• Mentor and guide mid-level and junior engineers.

• Work alongside product managers and stakeholders to convert business requirements into technical solutions.

• Provide feedback and insights during design and implementation reviews.

• Serve as a technical resource and subject matter expert within the product domain.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 6 years of professional software development experience, including technical leadership on complex projects.

• In-depth proficiency with at least one backend platform: C#/.NET, Java/Spring Boot, Node.js, OpenEdge, or Python/FastAPI.

• Advanced experience with modern frontend technologies: Angular, React, or Vue.js.

• Strong expertise in database design and data architecture: Progress, PostgreSQL, SQL Server, or MongoDB.

• Experience with secure and efficient integration of APIs and third-party systems.

• Demonstrated ability to modernize legacy applications into modular architectures.

• Familiarity with DevOps tools, CI/CD pipelines, and cloud services.

• Strong grasp of software architecture, design patterns, and performance optimization techniques.

• Excellent communication skills for articulating complex technical concepts to diverse audiences.

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience).

• Preferred: Experience in leading small teams or acting as a technical lead on a feature squad.

• Preferred: Experience designing distributed systems or microservice architectures.

• Preferred: Practical experience with containerization and orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes).

• Preferred: Security-first mindset with experience in implementing secure coding practices.

• Preferred: Previous experience in financial services or fintech.
