Senior Full Stack Software Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California.

📋 Description

• Take ownership of features from development through to production and beyond.

• Establish best practices while writing clean, secure, maintainable, and scalable code.

• Collaborate effectively with engineers and other team members.

• Integrate and build functionalities for both external and internal APIs.

• Create new products using PHP and enhance existing PHP code for scalability and integrations.

• Write and optimize SQL queries while designing database schemas.

• Develop and implement complex backend algorithms.

• Profile and optimize both new and legacy code.

• Utilize CSS and JavaScript to enhance new product functionalities.

• Leverage technologies such as Bootstrap 3, jQuery, HTML5, CSS3, and various open-source tools.

• Ensure cross-device and cross-platform compatibility for mobile, tablet, and desktop.

• Deliver updates frequently in an agile environment with continuous deployment.

• Contribute to product development, marketing strategies, business planning, and overall company success.

• Provide mentorship to junior-level developers.

⛳️ Requirements

• Must have legal authorization to work in the US.

• Strong understanding of web development concepts and principles.

• Demonstrable examples of full-stack projects.

• At least one significant project showcasing front-end code, back-end code, and database integration.

• Capability to design, develop, and launch a web application from inception to completion.

• Quick learner with the ability to independently acquire new skills.

• Results-oriented mindset with a passion for creating outstanding products.

• Over 5 years of experience in web development (any stack) tackling complex challenges and implementing new features from the ground up.

• More than 3 years of experience in SQL, including the design of relational database schemas and intricate queries.

• Familiarity with web and SQL security best practices.

• Comfortable operating outside the confines of a framework.

• Experience using Git in a collaborative team setting.

• Previous work or internship experience in startups is advantageous but not mandatory.

• Familiarity with the LAMP/LEMP stack is beneficial but not required.
