Senior Full-Stack Software Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Write, test, review, and deploy code across the stack, primarily utilizing React and TypeScript on the front end with Node.js and AWS in the backend.

• Take ownership of production code, including its monitoring, debugging, and incident management.

• Enhance codebase clarity, maintainability, and pragmatic trade-offs through refactoring and the removal of unnecessary code.

• Assist engineers in their development through code reviews, collaborative programming, and mentorship.

• Thoughtfully and pragmatically utilize AI tools while exercising independent judgment.

• Collaborate with product managers, designers, and education specialists to transform complex requirements into functional software.

• Challenge technically unsound requirements and integrate classroom insights into design processes.

⛳️ Requirements

• BS/MS in Computer Science or an equivalent degree or training.

• Over 5 years of professional full-stack software development experience.

• Strong grasp of solid software design principles and contemporary engineering practices.

• Experience in working with complex systems and large-scale codebases.

• Practical experience with modern frontend frameworks, particularly React.

• Thorough understanding of modern backend web technologies, including Node.js.

• Ability to conceptualize scalable and maintainable service design.

• Proficient in clearly articulating technical concepts both verbally and in writing.

• Capacity to excel in a fast-paced, collaborative environment through self-directed learning.

• Genuine enthusiasm for educational products and a commitment to creating tools that are equitable and accessible for all learners.

• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States.
