This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Canada.
• Design, create, test, and sustain scalable backend services utilizing Java, Spring Boot, and domain-driven design methodologies.
• Develop microservices for functions such as forecasting, staffing calculations, schedule creation, shift management, adherence, exceptions, and operational reporting.
• Create responsive workforce applications with TypeScript and React.
• Design and utilize REST APIs following an API-first methodology.
• Establish and uphold OpenAPI/Swagger contracts and versioning standards.
• Implement event-driven workflows for schedule modifications, agent states, queue metrics, forecasts, and adherence events.
• Integrate WFM capabilities with customer experience platforms, ACD and routing systems, HR systems, payroll, identity services, and enterprise data platforms.
• Model workforce and operational data within PostgreSQL and other relational databases.
• Containerize services and participate in cloud-native deployment methodologies and configuration management.
• Construct and maintain CI/CD pipelines that include Jenkins, automated testing, quality gates, and repeatable deployment processes.
• Diagnose production issues and enhance performance, batch processing, concurrency, scalability, and reliability.
• Engage in code reviews, technical design meetings, architectural discussions, sprint planning, and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Collaborate with Product, Operations Research, QA, DevOps, UX, and other key stakeholders.
• Over 8 years of experience in full-stack software development, including accountability for production applications.
• Strong practical experience with Java and Spring technologies, particularly Spring Boot, REST services, security, and persistence.
• Solid frontend development expertise with Angular or React, TypeScript, component-based design, state management, and contemporary testing practices.
• Familiarity with Node.js for integrations, lightweight services, build tools, or supporting components.
• Demonstrated experience in designing REST APIs, microservices, and event-driven services within distributed environments.
• Proficient SQL skills with experience in designing efficient data models in PostgreSQL or similar relational databases.
• Experience in developing, deploying, or supporting cloud-based and containerized applications.
• Proficient in English, with strong verbal and written communication skills for cross-functional teamwork.
• Familiarity with NICE WFM, Verint, Calabrio, Genesys WFM, Aspect/Alvaria, or similar workforce solutions.
• Experience in integrating WFM with ACD, routing, HR, payroll, CRM, or data warehousing platforms.
• Familiarity with Kafka, RabbitMQ, or similar messaging and event-streaming technologies.
• Exposure to workforce analytics, optimization strategies, or operational research principles.
• Familiarity with Jenkins, Kubernetes, cloud platforms, observability tools, and secure software delivery practices.
