This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Design, develop, test, and maintain scalable backend services utilizing Java, Spring Boot, and domain-driven design methodologies.
• Create microservices for forecasting, staffing calculations, schedule generation, shift management, adherence, exceptions, and operational reporting.
• Develop responsive workforce applications leveraging TypeScript and React.
• Design and implement REST APIs following an API-first strategy.
• Define and uphold OpenAPI/Swagger contracts along with versioning standards.
• Execute event-driven workflows for schedule alterations, agent statuses, queue metrics, forecasts, and adherence events.
• Integrate workforce management capabilities with customer experience platforms, ACD and routing systems, HR systems, payroll, identity services, and enterprise data platforms.
• Model workforce and operational data using PostgreSQL and other relational databases.
• Containerize services and contribute to cloud-native deployment patterns and configuration management.
• Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines, which include Jenkins, automated testing, quality gates, and repeatable deployment processes.
• Diagnose production issues and enhance performance, batch processing, concurrency, scalability, and reliability.
• Engage in code reviews, technical design sessions, architectural discussions, sprint planning, and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Collaborate with Product, Operations Research, QA, DevOps, UX, and other stakeholders to deliver effective solutions.
• Over 8 years of experience in full-stack software development, with a focus on ownership of production applications.
• Extensive hands-on experience with Java and Spring technologies, especially Spring Boot, REST services, security, and persistence.
• Strong frontend development experience with Angular or React, TypeScript, component-based design, state management, and modern testing methodologies.
• Familiarity with Node.js for integrations, lightweight services, build tools, or supporting components.
• Practical experience with NICE WFM, Verint, Calabrio, Genesys WFM, Aspect/Alvaria, or similar workforce solutions.
• Experience with AWS services and Amazon Connect is advantageous.
• Proven track record in designing REST APIs, microservices, and event-driven services within distributed environments.
• Strong SQL skills with experience designing efficient data models in PostgreSQL or similar relational databases.
• Experience in developing, deploying, or supporting cloud-based and containerized applications.
• Excellent communication skills, including the ability to create clear technical documentation and facilitate client-facing workshops.
• Experience integrating WFM with ACD, routing, HR, payroll, CRM, or data warehouse platforms is a plus.
• Familiarity with Kafka, RabbitMQ, or similar messaging and event-streaming technologies is a plus.
• Exposure to workforce analytics, optimization techniques, or operational research concepts is a plus.
• Familiarity with Jenkins, Kubernetes, cloud platforms, observability tools, and secure software delivery practices is a plus.
• Practical experience with AI-assisted software development or AI-enabled solutions, including tools like Claude or GitHub Copilot, is a plus.
