This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Canada.
• Create, develop, test, and manage scalable backend services utilizing Java, Spring Boot, and domain-driven design methodologies.
• Construct microservices for tasks such as forecasting, staffing calculations, schedule generation, shift management, adherence, exceptions, and operational reporting.
• Develop dynamic workforce applications using TypeScript and React.
• Design and utilize REST APIs following an API-first strategy.
• Establish and uphold OpenAPI/Swagger contracts and versioning standards.
• Execute event-driven workflows for modifications in schedules, agent states, queue metrics, forecasts, and adherence events.
• Integrate workforce management capabilities with customer experience platforms, automated call distribution (ACD) and routing systems, HR systems, payroll, identity services, and enterprise data platforms.
• Model workforce and operational data within PostgreSQL and other relational database systems.
• Containerize services and support cloud-native deployment patterns, configuration management, and environmental consistency.
• Develop and sustain CI/CD pipelines, encompassing Jenkins, automated testing, quality gates, and repeatable deployment processes.
• Resolve production issues while optimizing performance, batch processing, concurrency, scalability, and reliability.
• Engage in code reviews, technical design meetings, architecture discussions, sprint planning, and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Work collaboratively with Product, Operations Research, QA, DevOps, UX, and contact center stakeholders to deliver workforce solutions.
• Over 6 years of experience in full-stack software development, including ownership of production applications.
• Strong practical experience with Java and Spring technologies, specifically Spring Boot, REST services, security, and data persistence.
• Solid frontend development experience with Angular or React, TypeScript, component-based design, state management, and modern testing methodologies.
• Familiarity with Node.js for integrations, lightweight services, build tooling, or supporting components.
• Demonstrated experience in designing REST APIs, microservices, and event-driven services in distributed environments.
• Strong SQL proficiency and experience in designing efficient data models in PostgreSQL or similar relational databases.
• Experience in developing, deploying, or supporting cloud-based and containerized applications.
• Ability to analyze complex business rules, investigate data issues, and clearly communicate technical trade-offs.
• Proficient in English, with strong verbal and written communication skills within cross-functional teams.
• Hands-on experience with NICE WFM, Verint, Calabrio, Genesys WFM, Aspect/Alvaria, or similar workforce solutions.
• Understanding of forecasting methods, staffing requirements, scheduling constraints, real-time management, shrinkage, occupancy, and service-level concepts.
• Experience in integrating workforce management with ACD, routing, HR, payroll, CRM, or data warehouse platforms.
• Familiarity with Kafka, RabbitMQ, or similar messaging and event-streaming technologies.
• Exposure to workforce analytics, optimization techniques, or operational research concepts.
• Familiarity with Jenkins, Kubernetes, cloud platforms, observability tools, and secure software delivery practices.
