Senior Full Stack Java Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Design, develop, test, and maintain scalable backend services utilizing Java, Spring Boot, and established software engineering methodologies.

• Create modern web applications employing React, TypeScript, reusable components, responsive designs, and accessible user interaction patterns.

• Develop and utilize REST APIs following an API-first strategy.

• Keep clear OpenAPI/Swagger contracts and manage error handling effectively.

• Design modular, maintainable solutions leveraging microservices and object-oriented as well as domain-driven design principles.

• Utilize Node.js for lightweight services, backend-for-frontend components, integrations, or development tools.

• Design and enhance PostgreSQL data models and queries with a focus on integrity, performance, and audit history.

• Implement integrations with both internal and external systems using REST APIs, webhooks, messaging, and various integration patterns.

• Containerize applications and assist in cloud-based deployment strategies, configuration management, and ensuring environmental consistency.

• Build and sustain Jenkins-based CI/CD pipelines with automated testing, quality gates, and consistent deployments.

• Instrument applications with structured logging, metrics, tracing, and actionable error reporting.

• Troubleshoot functional and production challenges while enhancing application performance, resilience, scalability, and maintainability.

• Collaborate with Product, UX, QA, DevOps, Architecture, and fellow engineers through design sessions, code reviews, planning, and continual improvement.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 6 years of full-stack software development experience, including the ownership of production applications.

• Strong practical experience with Java and Spring technologies, particularly Spring Boot, REST services, persistence, security, and automated testing.

• Solid frontend development expertise with Angular or React, TypeScript, HTML, CSS, component-based design, state management, and contemporary testing methodologies.

• Familiarity with Node.js for lightweight services, integrations, build tools, or supporting components.

• Proven experience in designing REST APIs, microservices, and maintainable applications in distributed settings.

• Strong SQL skills with experience in designing efficient data models in PostgreSQL or similar relational databases.

• Experience in developing, deploying, or supporting cloud-based and containerized applications.

• Exceptional communication skills, including the ability to produce clear technical documentation and lead client-facing workshops.

• Experience with Workforce Management (WFM) applications or integration with WFM platforms is an advantage.

• Familiarity with AWS services and Amazon Connect is a plus.

• Experience in building applications for CX solutions, contact centers, or customer service environments is beneficial.

• Knowledge of forecasting, scheduling, adherence, routing, agent desktop, digital channels, or related operational concepts is advantageous.

• Experience with Kafka, RabbitMQ, or similar messaging and event-streaming technologies is a plus.

• Familiarity with Kubernetes, cloud platforms, observability tools, and secure software delivery practices is a plus.

• Experience in integrating applications with CRM, identity, HR, payroll, analytics, or other enterprise systems is a plus.

• Practical experience with AI-assisted software development or AI-enabled solutions, including tools such as Claude or GitHub Copilot, is a plus.
