Senior Full Stack Java Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Create, develop, test, and sustain scalable backend services utilizing Java, Spring Boot, and established software engineering methodologies.

• Construct contemporary web applications with React, TypeScript, reusable components, responsive designs, and accessible interaction techniques.

• Design and utilize REST APIs following an API-first strategy.

• Keep up-to-date OpenAPI/Swagger contracts and ensure effective error handling.

• Create modular, maintainable solutions through microservices and implement object-oriented and event-driven design patterns.

• Utilize Node.js for lightweight services, backend-for-frontend components, integrations, or development tools.

• Design and enhance PostgreSQL data models and queries focusing on integrity, performance, and audit trails.

• Develop and implement integrations with both internal and external systems utilizing REST APIs, webhooks, messaging, and other integration methodologies.

• Containerize applications and engage in cloud-based deployment strategies, configuration management, and maintaining environmental consistency.

• Construct and sustain Jenkins-based CI/CD pipelines featuring automated testing, quality gates, and repeatable deployments.

• Equip applications with structured logging, metrics, tracing, and actionable error reporting.

• Diagnose functional and production challenges and enhance application performance, resilience, scalability, and maintainability.

• Partner with Product, UX, QA, DevOps, Architecture, and fellow engineers through design discussions, code assessments, planning, and continuous enhancement.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 6 years of full-stack software development experience, including taking ownership of production applications.

• Extensive hands-on experience with Java and Spring technologies, especially Spring Boot, REST services, persistence, security, and automated testing.

• Strong frontend development background with Angular or React, TypeScript, HTML, CSS, component-based design, state management, and modern testing methodologies.

• Knowledge of Node.js for lightweight services, integrations, build tools, or supporting components.

• Demonstrated experience in designing REST APIs, microservices, and maintainable applications within distributed environments.

• Proficient SQL skills and experience in designing efficient data models in PostgreSQL or similar relational databases.

• Experience in developing, deploying, or supporting cloud-based and containerized applications.

• Exceptional communication skills, including the ability to create clear technical documentation and facilitate client-facing workshops.

• Understanding of OAuth2, OpenID Connect, JWT, and secure API design principles.

• Familiarity with Kafka, RabbitMQ, or similar messaging and event-streaming technologies.

• Knowledge of Kubernetes, cloud platforms, observability tools, and secure software delivery practices.

• Experience with Workforce Management (WFM) applications or platforms is a plus.

• Familiarity with AWS services and Amazon Connect is advantageous.

• Experience developing applications for customer experience solutions, contact centers, or customer service settings is beneficial.

• Understanding of forecasting, scheduling, adherence, routing, agent desktop, digital channels, or related operational concepts is advantageous.

• Experience integrating applications with CRM, identity, HR, payroll, analytics, or other enterprise systems is a plus.

• Practical experience with AI-assisted software development or AI-enabled solutions, including Claude or GitHub Copilot, is an added advantage.
