This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Create, develop, and sustain high-performing, responsive, and accessible web experiences utilized by millions of users.
• Take ownership of projects from start to finish, encompassing discovery, technical design, implementation, testing, deployment, measurement, and refinement.
• Develop scalable frontend architecture, reusable components, and content models.
• Establish and maintain integrations across web applications, CMS, analytics and experimentation platforms, APIs, and other Calendly systems.
• Collaborate with Marketing, Content, SEO, Design, Product, and Engineering teams to translate business and customer requirements into scalable technical solutions and efficient publishing workflows.
• Implement technical SEO and Answer Engine Optimization best practices to enhance content visibility across traditional search and AI-driven experiences.
• Monitor and enhance Core Web Vitals, site performance, accessibility, reliability, and overall web quality.
• Influence the technical direction of Calendly’s public web platform through architectural improvements, developer-experience enhancements, technical design, testing, code reviews, documentation, and mentorship.
• Over 7 years of professional software development experience, with substantial expertise in building and managing production web applications at scale.
• Strong command of modern JavaScript and TypeScript, contemporary frontend frameworks, HTML, and CSS.
• In-depth understanding of browser behavior, responsive design, accessibility, caching, and web performance.
• Experience in designing scalable frontend systems and reusable component architectures.
• Proven experience in integrating web applications with APIs, content management systems, analytics platforms, experimentation systems, and other services.
• Familiarity with technical SEO, including crawlability, indexing, metadata, structured data, site architecture, redirects, canonicalization, and performance.
• Awareness of Answer Engine Optimization (AEO) and AI-driven discovery.
• Experience in measuring and enhancing performance, accessibility, and quality of high-traffic web applications.
• Strong engineering principles emphasizing clean, maintainable code, rigorous testing, and incremental delivery.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills; capability to independently drive technical solutions from concept to production.
• Authorized to work legally in the United States of America; Calendly does not participate in immigration sponsorship.
• Preferred: Experience with Payload CMS or another modern headless CMS.
• Preferred: Familiarity with Astro or similar modern web frameworks and static/server-rendered architectures.
• Preferred: Experience with internationalization and localization across extensive web properties.
• Preferred: Background in experimentation, conversion optimization, SEO, growth marketing, or content teams.
• Preferred: Experience with structured content or content APIs utilized by AI assistants or search systems.
• Preferred: Experience in modernizing or migrating large websites, CMS platforms, or frontend architectures.
