Senior Full-Stack Engineer – Node.js, Svelte, React

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Latin America.

📋 Description

• Oversee the design, development, testing, and deployment of intricate frontend and backend features.

• Create scalable applications utilizing TypeScript for both client and server environments.

• Develop and integrate RESTful APIs along with Node.js server-side applications.

• Construct responsive user interfaces using Svelte/SvelteKit or similar technologies.

• Design and maintain relational database schemas, migrations, and performance-optimized queries.

• Collaborate with Product Managers, Designers, Engineers, and client stakeholders.

• Engage in architecture discussions, technical design decisions, and uphold engineering standards.

• Create automated tests and contribute to strategies for code quality and testing.

• Establish and maintain CI/CD workflows, utilizing Docker for consistent development environments.

• Deploy and manage production applications using AWS cloud services and serverless architectures.

• Investigate technologies and methodologies to enhance engineering productivity and product quality.

• Utilize AI-assisted development tools for planning, coding, testing, and debugging tasks.

• Work directly with clients through meetings, technical discussions, and product demonstrations.

• Participate in daily standups and bi-weekly sprint cycles.

⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of 5 years of professional full-stack software development experience.

• Expertise in TypeScript, with a solid understanding of advanced language features and complex type definitions.

• Significant experience with server-side TypeScript and Node.js, particularly with RESTful APIs.

• Proficient in Svelte, SvelteKit, React, Next.js, or comparable modern frontend frameworks.

• Experience with relational databases and SQL, including schema design, migrations, and query optimization.

• Strong grasp of software testing, code quality, and maintainable development practices.

• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and Docker-based development workflows.

• Knowledge of cloud platforms, especially AWS, and cloud-based applications.

• Previous contribution to architecture and technical design decisions.

• Excellent communication and collaboration skills for direct client engagement.

• Ability to work effectively and independently within a small, collaborative engineering team.

• Practical experience with AI development tools such as Claude Code, Cursor, GitHub Copilot, or similar.

• Capability to articulate the functionalities and limitations of AI tools, including accuracy, security, reliability, and responsible usage.

• Access to a reliable internet connection and a laptop.

• Must currently reside in Latin America.
