Senior Full Stack Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Mexico.

📋 Description

• Design and decompose ambiguous product challenges into specific, well-defined tasks for agents.

• Leverage agents to implement and deliver full-stack features, overseeing the process from design to production release.

• Create and manage intricate agent orchestration systems that deliver actual product functionalities.

• Develop clean, consistent, and robust APIs and data models.

• Foster an AI-driven engineering culture by sharing best practices, documenting effective strategies, and assisting the team in enhancing performance.

• Utilize AI tools such as Claude Code, Augment, or similar to reduce implementation time and critically assess outputs.

• Work in partnership with Product and Design teams to identify specification gaps, highlight edge cases, and evaluate readiness for deployment.

• Ensure well-organized, maintainable code, conduct thorough code reviews, maintain adequate test coverage, and uphold production quality standards.

• Identify and rectify bugs introduced by AI before they are deployed to production.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 5 years of professional experience in development using Java and/or JavaScript.

• Proven history of delivering production systems successfully.

• Strong backend expertise: API design, data modeling, SQL, service reliability, and debugging production issues.

• Regular use of AI coding tools (Claude Code, Codex, Cursor, or similar) within a production engineering context.

• Ability to critically assess AI-generated code, including identifying logic errors, security vulnerabilities, maintainability, and ownership of integrated code.

• Strong instincts in system design, encompassing tradeoffs, edge cases, scaling, and failure scenarios.

• Effective communication skills with the ability to articulate technical decisions, highlight specification gaps, and engage in constructive disagreement.

• Interest in Elixir or functional programming languages.

• Experience in building B2B SaaS products, preferably with complex multi-tenant data models or transactional workflows.

• Background working within small, high-output teams.

• Frontend experience, particularly with Angular or modern JavaScript frameworks, sufficient to manage a feature from start to finish.

• Experience in the travel, hospitality, or experiences industry.

• Current residency in Mexico.

• Valid work authorization in Mexico.
