Senior Full Stack Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Spearhead the design and execution of large-scale or undefined end-to-end projects across both frontend and backend systems.

• Create customer-oriented product experiences utilizing TypeScript and React, along with services and APIs using Go, Python, or similar technologies.

• Convert customer challenges and product objectives into technical designs, tradeoffs, and incremental delivery strategies.

• Oversee the entire process from discovery and design to implementation, launch, measurement, operational support, and iteration.

• Collaborate with Product, Design, Data, Staff Engineers, Engineering Managers, and related teams.

• Balance factors such as usability, accessibility, performance, reliability, security, cost, and time to value.

• Establish methodologies and practices that enhance consistency, maintainability, developer experience, and quality.

• Enhance observability and operational health and engage in incident response as necessary.

• Shape architecture and technical direction through design documents, code reviews, and technical discussions.

• Mentor engineers and assist teammates in developing their technical judgment and product instincts.

• Advocate for customer needs and production realities in cross-functional decisions and link technical efforts to measurable outcomes.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 7 years of experience in building and managing production web applications.

• Proven capability to lead intricate projects across frontend and backend layers, including handling ambiguous requirements or cross-team dependencies.

• Extensive experience with a contemporary frontend framework such as React and a typed programming language like TypeScript, or comparable experience.

• Significant backend experience in designing or managing APIs, services, data stores, or asynchronous systems in a production setting.

• Familiarity with Go, Python, Rust, or another equivalent backend language; most teams utilize Go.

• Strong judgment regarding architecture, user experience, accessibility, performance, reliability, security, and maintainability tradeoffs.

• Strong instincts for product development and the ability to link technical choices to customer outcomes and business objectives.

• Capability to foster alignment through effective communication and inclusive decision-making.

• Experience in mentoring engineers, enhancing team practices, and elevating technical execution quality.

• Strong ownership of the entire lifecycle of systems and experiences.

• Ability to learn unfamiliar systems and adapt to shifting priorities.

• Must reside in the United States.
