Senior Full Stack Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Croatia.

📋 Description

• Take complete ownership of full-stack feature delivery from inception to production, utilizing Java/Spring Boot microservices and TypeScript/React frontends.

• Oversee and resolve issues in live production environments.

• Make autonomous architectural choices and transform prototypes into scalable, maintainable production systems.

• Collaborate effectively with Product, Design, and Engineering teams to ensure exceptional end-user quality.

• Lead the transition from legacy monoliths by employing Domain-Driven Design, event-driven architecture, and structured decomposition strategies.

• Develop automated end-to-end tests using Cypress or Playwright and integrate data-driven testing methodologies.

• Guide colleagues in prompt engineering, AI-assisted development, and conducting code reviews.

• Contribute to and enhance AI-augmented engineering workflows, including the creation of custom skills, agents, and agentic pipelines.

⛳️ Requirements

• 4–6 years of experience in full-stack engineering with a strong production background in both backend and frontend development.

• Expertise in Java and Spring Boot for enterprise-level backend development.

• Proficient in TypeScript and React for developing modern web applications.

• Experience in building and maintaining GraphQL APIs.

• Strong understanding of SQL and NoSQL databases, especially MongoDB.

• Practical experience with end-to-end testing frameworks like Cypress or Playwright.

• Familiarity with microservices architecture and event-driven integration patterns.

• Proven experience with Claude Code CLI or a similar AI code generation tool.

• Comfortable working within a generate-and-review workflow.

• Experience or exposure in the hospitality technology sector is a plus.

• Advantageous to have experience in legacy modernization, monolith decomposition, or migration planning.

• Familiarity with Domain-Driven Design within an enterprise context is beneficial.

• Experience with AI code review tools such as CodeRabbit or Augment is a plus.

• Working knowledge of AWS, Kubernetes, and CI/CD pipeline management is advantageous.
