This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

• Scope, estimate, design, and deliver features of medium to large scale.
• Actively work to minimize technical debt across various projects or products.

• Work alongside colleagues, external teams, and client stakeholders throughout the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).
• Create test plans, test cases, and documentation in accordance with software specifications and user requirements.
• Record, prioritize, and track defects using bug-tracking systems.
• Set and uphold quality standards and best practices.
• Monitor software quality metrics throughout the SDLC.
• Enhance test coverage, speed, and accuracy through automated testing methods.
• Assess and suggest QA tools, frameworks, and techniques.
• Ensure that testing procedures meet industry standards and regulatory requirements.
• Prepare documentation for audits.
• Conduct performance and security testing.
• Manage React and TypeScript interfaces in compliance with Section 508 and WCAG 2.2 Level AA.
• Oversee Go services in containers on AWS, utilizing Kong API gateway and Akamai CDN/WAF.
• Work with PostgreSQL/Aurora as the primary data storage solution and Redis for caching purposes.
• Maintain unit to end-to-end tests and automated accessibility checks using Axe, Pa11y, and Lighthouse.
• Administer CloudBees Jenkins delivery pipelines with trunk-based development, blue/green deployments, and LaunchDarkly feature-flagged releases.
• Contribute to production health through a shared 24/7 on-call rotation.
• Utilize OpenTelemetry, New Relic, Splunk, SonarQube, Snyk, and JFrog Xray for observability and security remediation.
• Must possess US Citizenship or Green Card; sponsorship is not available.
• Must have been a resident of the US for at least the last 3 years.
• Must meet the criteria to hold a Public Trust position, including successful completion of a US Government background investigation.
• Experience in production with Go, the primary backend programming language.
• Familiarity with React / TypeScript; equivalent languages are acceptable, with a focus on frontend skills and a full-stack blend.
• Experience in developing accessible interfaces using Semantic HTML, keyboard navigation, and focus management.
• Proficient in automated testing within application code.
• Knowledge of PostgreSQL schema design, indexing, and migrations against a live system.
• Experience with AWS or a comparable cloud platform.
• Terraform experience is preferred.
• CI/CD pipeline experience with Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab, or CircleCI is preferred.
• Familiarity with Redis or a similar caching layer is preferred.
• OpenTelemetry instrumentation or similar observability experience is preferred.
• Understanding progressive delivery practices, including blue/green or canary deployments, feature flags, and trunk-based release strategies is preferred.
• Experience in addressing automated security findings, including SAST, SCA, container scanning, and remediation is preferred.
• Experience delivering in a FedRAMP or ATO-governed environment is preferred.
• Exposure to API gateway or CDN/WAF technologies, such as Kong or Akamai, is preferred.
• Experience with screen reader testing using JAWS, NVDA, or VoiceOver is preferred.
• Willingness to participate in a genuine 24/7 on-call rotation for a public-facing production system.
