Senior Full Stack Developer – Java/React

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Brazil.

📋 Description

• Engage in platform architecture decisions and document the rationale for those choices.

• Develop comprehensive features utilizing Java for the backend and React for the frontend.

• Implement both synchronous and asynchronous integration layers.

• Collaborate within a microservices ecosystem, interfacing with legacy systems and monolithic architectures.

• Design and enhance data persistence strategies across both relational and non-relational databases.

• Work with messaging services and asynchronous processing techniques.

• Write automated tests and take an active role in code reviews.

• Contribute to architectural discussions with sound technical reasoning.

• Investigate and troubleshoot issues in production environments.

• Utilize AI thoughtfully in development processes and rigorously evaluate its outputs.

• Provide context and support to junior team members.

⛳️ Requirements

• Proven experience in software development with a track record of delivering production-ready solutions.

• Proficiency in Java for backend development and React for frontend, demonstrating autonomy in both areas.

• Experience with Docker and containerization, along with familiarity in deploying applications on Azure.

• Skills in relational database modeling, querying, and optimization.

• Knowledge of asynchronous processing using RabbitMQ, SQS, SNS, or Kafka.

• Understanding of non-relational databases and clarity on their appropriate use cases.

• Regular use of AI-assisted development tools such as Claude Code, Copilot, Cursor, or equivalents.

• Ability to consume and integrate third-party APIs.

• Self-sufficient in overcoming obstacles and clear about when to seek assistance.

• Dedication to quality while maintaining delivery speed.

• Ability to collaborate effectively within a small team.

• Curiosity regarding the application of AI in products.

• Nice to have: experience with healthcare projects, handling sensitive data, and compliance with Brazil’s LGPD; involvement with MVP-stage products; familiarity with legacy systems and monoliths; knowledge of Azure and AWS.
