Senior Full-Stack Developer, Bespoke Projects

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Canada.

📋 Description

• Take charge of projects from start to finish, encompassing data modeling, user interface, backend development, release, and post-launch support.

• Define project scopes prior to contract finalization by drafting plans, outlining tasks, and establishing APIs and integrations with clients.

• Create refined interactive tools, such as product configurators, drawing applications, in-store displays, and integrated client-website experiences.

• Collaborate closely with designers, providing constructive feedback and enhancing or challenging design concepts.

• Develop products that leverage generative AI technologies.

• Engage with various applications and services, including codebases maintained by other teams.

• Transform standalone applications into scalable products that cater to multiple clients.

• Implement tests, linting rules, and agent instructions to ensure the safe deployment of AI-generated code.

• Release updates weekly, manage products in production, and oversee usage metrics.

• Elevate engineering standards through code reviews, mentoring, and thorough documentation of decisions.

• Participate in recruitment efforts to help expand the team.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 5 years of software development experience focused on building scalable systems.

• Solid foundation in computer science, supported by a degree in the field or significant professional experience in software development.

• In-depth knowledge and hands-on experience with TypeScript, React, and NextJS.

• Familiarity with modern React rendering techniques, including the differences between server and client components, and understanding execution contexts.

• Full-stack expertise in SQL schema design and server-side TypeScript.

• Experience with Python and Django is highly advantageous.

• A keen eye for user interface design and the confidence to advocate for design concepts.

• Strong emphasis on product execution and timely delivery.

• Outstanding attention to detail and commitment to quality and long-term objectives.

• Excellent communication skills.

• Daily utilization of AI coding tools and the ability to evaluate their outputs critically.

• Experience in developing secure workflows around AI-generated code.

• Proficiency in modifying Kubernetes and Terraform configurations.

• Proven capability to offer guidance, mentorship, and support to team members.

• Leadership-oriented mindset with initiative, decision-making skills, and a track record of consistent delivery.

• Comfortable operating in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
