Senior Full-Stack Developer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Texas.

📋 Description

• Create and develop accessible, responsive, and high-performance user interfaces based on mockups.

• Design, maintain, and enhance enterprise Java services utilizing Spring Boot REST APIs and legacy SOAP services with Spring WS.

• Examine legacy data protocols and support the mapping of architectural migration pathways across Java and .NET platforms.

• Provide mentorship to mid-level and junior engineers.

• Conduct architectural reviews and uphold sustainable coding standards.

• Engage in thorough code review processes.

• Collaborate with product managers, internal teams, and utility industry stakeholders.

• Convert complex business needs into scalable technical solutions.

• Assume responsibility for UI/UX development, backend design and development, testing practices and frameworks, modernization of REST and legacy SOAP services, and evaluating cross-platform integration.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 7 years of professional software development experience in an enterprise setting.

• More than 5 years of experience with enterprise Java, specifically using the Spring Framework (Spring Boot, Spring WS).

• At least 5 years of experience in developing modern web applications utilizing HTML, CSS, JavaScript/TypeScript, and frameworks like React or Angular.

• Extensive production experience managing modern REST (JSON) APIs and legacy SOAP (XML/WSDL) communication protocols.

• Expertise in database design, SQL, data modeling, and performance enhancement.

• Practical knowledge of C# and .NET Core / ASP.NET.

• Proven history of leading development teams through architectural transitions and modernization of legacy systems.

• Demonstrated experience and willingness to mentor junior and mid-level developers.

• A Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related technical field is preferred.

• Background or familiarity with the Utility / Energy sector is preferred.

• Experience with IBM i and DB2 systems is highly advantageous.
