Senior Frontend Engineer – Shopify

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Latin America.

📋 Description

• Take charge of the Frontend development for a high-traffic e-commerce platform, centered around Shopify.

• Spearhead the redesign and enhancement of the online store, with a particular focus on the checkout process.

• Enhance user experience, boost conversion rates, and optimize overall performance.

• Collaborate closely with Design, Product, and Engineering teams.

• Utilize A/B testing and business metrics to perpetually refine the shopping experience.

• Assume responsibility for Frontend decisions and solutions.

• Provide guidance on technical choices within the Shopify-centric ecosystem.

• Transform the online store and enhance the user shopping experience through ongoing UX improvements.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 4 years of substantial and demonstrable experience in Shopify Liquid development.

• Practical experience with Shopify APIs and Shopify Themes.

• Exceptional proficiency in JavaScript.

• Proven track record of implementing A/B tests to guide data-driven technical decisions.

• Strong foundation in iterating on technical solutions based on performance and business metrics.

• Comprehensive understanding of UX/UI optimization targeted at Conversion Rate Optimization (CRO).

• Strong analytical skills for solving unique technical challenges and identifying efficient alternatives using the Shopify app ecosystem.

• High degree of autonomy and independence in leading Frontend development, taking complete ownership of technical solutions.

• Advanced proficiency in English.

• Preferred: experience with React, TypeScript, Next.js, Ruby on Rails, and general Backend architecture.

• Candidates should be based in Latin America.
