This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United Kingdom.
β’ Take charge of procurement and supply planning for the entire product range.
β’ Lead the demand forecasting and inventory planning for the SKU portfolio.
β’ Manage the placement and timing of purchase orders, collaborating with suppliers regarding lead times, minimum order quantities (MOQs), and production schedules.
β’ Build and nurture relationships with manufacturers and suppliers, negotiating pricing, terms, lead times, and service levels.
β’ Oversee relationships with freight forwarders, including rates and service level agreements (SLAs).
β’ Develop the inbound freight strategy, considering sea versus air freight, container consolidation, routing, and shipment planning.
β’ Manage the complete inbound process from suppliers through customs to the warehouse or third-party logistics (3PL).
β’ Optimize landed costs and manage all inbound expenses, including supplier costs, freight, duties, and storage.
β’ Report on logistics costs and their impact on CM1 and CM2 margins.
β’ Negotiate and renegotiate contracts with 3PL and carriers, contributing to the design of the customer delivery offer.
β’ Monitor and resolve issues related to suppliers and inbound logistics, such as delays, short shipments, damages, and customs challenges.
β’ Manage procurement commitments, stock valuations, landed costs, and cash flow implications in collaboration with Finance.
β’ Provide support to warehouse and 3PL teams regarding inbound schedules, stock data, and delivery expectations.
β’ Lead supply chain planning during peak trading periods.
β’ Oversee procurement and logistics for new product launches.
β’ Ensure compliance with customs, transport, product, and regulatory requirements in the UK, EU, and US markets.
β’ Maintain accurate supply chain data and systems.
β’ Develop procurement and supply chain processes, systems, and standard operating procedures (SOPs).
β’ Lead, develop, and support the expanding supply chain team.
β’ Influence senior stakeholders and collaborate cross-functionally with Commercial, Finance, Operations, Marketplaces, and Warehouse teams.
β’ Demonstrated experience in managing procurement, supply planning, and inbound logistics, preferably in ecommerce, consumer goods, retail, or a rapidly growing environment.
β’ Accountability for logistics costs, including the ability to show their impact on CM1 and CM2.
β’ Experience leading a team of 3 to 10 individuals, including hiring and performance management; ideally with experience in restructuring.
β’ Confidence in influencing senior stakeholders outside of the supply chain.
β’ Proven track record of altering commercial outcomes, such as renegotiating 3PL or carrier contracts or reshaping the delivery offer.
β’ Strong experience in forecasting, inventory planning, and purchasing.
β’ Experience managing international manufacturers and suppliers.
β’ Significant experience with freight forwarders and international inbound logistics.
β’ Proven ability to negotiate supplier pricing, MOQs, lead times, and commercial terms.
β’ Strong understanding of landed costs and the financial implications of procurement and freight decisions.
β’ Experience managing peak trading and supply chain contingency planning.
β’ Excellent analytical skills and confidence in working with supply chain data and key performance indicators (KPIs).
β’ Experience collaborating cross-functionally with Finance, Commercial, Operations, and Warehouse teams.
β’ A proactive, commercially-minded approach suited for a fast-paced environment.
β’ Ability to meet relevant customs, transport, product, and regulatory requirements across UK, EU, and US markets.
β’ Fully remote role.
