Head of E-Commerce

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Take ownership of and enhance Javvy’s direct-to-consumer ecommerce interface.

• Enhance conversion rates, web design, and UI/UX across the website, landing pages, sales funnels, and digital interactions.

• Manage the web team directly, overseeing development, design, conversion rate optimization (CRO), and quality assurance (QA).

• Develop and maintain the ecommerce roadmap while translating company goals and customer insights into actionable initiatives.

• Collaborate with Marketing, Retention, Retail, Analytics, and other cross-functional teams.

• Lead the CRO roadmap for landing pages, product pages, offers, funnels, navigation, cart, checkout, upsells, and customer interactions.

• Identify conversion opportunities by analyzing customer behavior, funnel data, analytics, user feedback, and qualitative insights.

• Transform opportunities into hypotheses, designs, tests, and execution plans.

• Spearhead the continuous enhancement of mobile-first ecommerce experiences.

• Set standards for web design, UI consistency, usability, messaging hierarchy, and customer clarity.

• Oversee A/B testing from prioritization and implementation to QA, analysis, and decision-making.

• Direct the web team’s priorities, workload, performance, and operational rhythm.

• Define project scopes with requirements, owners, dependencies, timelines, and acceptance criteria.

• Prioritize tasks, identify missing requirements, eliminate roadblocks, adjust plans, and ensure accountability.

• Guide projects from design and development to QA, launch, and post-launch assessment.

• Enhance processes, documentation, templates, and quality standards.

• Manage new product introductions, flavor options, offers, formula modifications, and product-version transitions.

• Maintain launch playbooks that encompass Shopify, landing pages, product assets, pricing, subscriptions, shipping, international experiences, upsells, tracking, and dependencies.

• Ensure accurate management of product IDs, SKUs, UPCs, GTINs, product mappings, audiences, and versions.

• Coordinate QA, test orders, launch readiness, go-live sequencing, and post-launch verification.

• Handle configuration, audits, data integrity, and vendor follow-up across platforms like Shopify, Recharge, Webflow, KnoCommerce, Bazaarvoice, Amplitude, and PostHog.

• Achieve independent proficiency in unfamiliar systems and address recurring issues through documentation, checklists, processes, or safeguards.

• Gradually become the reliable operational leader of Javvy’s ecommerce function and take over routine decisions currently made by the CTO.


⛳️ Requirements

• Over 5 years of relevant experience in ecommerce, CRO, digital products, ecommerce operations, or a related discipline.

• Significant experience in a high-growth direct-to-consumer (DTC) or ecommerce organization.

• Proven track record of enhancing ecommerce conversion rates and customer experiences.

• Strong visual, web design, and UI/UX judgment.

• Experience in identifying conversion opportunities and managing A/B tests from hypothesis through to implementation and analysis.

• Proficient in Shopify, including products, variants, offers, discounts, collections, checkout, and third-party integrations.

• Experience in directly managing or leading developers, designers, CRO specialists, and QA team members.

• Strong project management capabilities, including scoping, prioritization, dependency management, risk management, and follow-through.

• Ability to leverage ecommerce and product analytics to address inquiries and provide recommendations.

• Technical fluency to collaborate effectively with engineers and comprehend ecommerce system interactions.

• Excellent written communication skills, sound judgment, and the ability to turn ambiguity into actionable plans.

• Based in the United States and available to work Eastern Time hours.

• Preferred: experience with subscription commerce and platforms like Recharge, Skio, Stay.ai, Loop, or Smartrr.

• Preferred: experience with Webflow or another high-volume ecommerce content management system (CMS).

• Preferred: experience with analytics tools such as Amplitude, PostHog, Mixpanel, or similar.

• Preferred: familiarity with ecommerce tracking, pixels, event properties, and order-level validation.
