Senior Frontend Engineer – React

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Texas.

📋 Description

• Take ownership of the frontend architecture and development of the product utilizing React and TypeScript.

• Convert product designs and interactive prototypes into user experiences that are ready for production.

• Manage frontend patterns for intricate multi-step workflows, encompassing forms, conditional logic, validation, autosave, resume capabilities, loading states, error handling, and recovery processes.

• Collaborate with the Senior Backend API Engineer to establish API contracts, data structures, error management, and delineate client/server responsibilities.

• Define component architecture, state management patterns, routing strategies, form handling, and frontend conventions.

• Create secure, role-sensitive experiences for clients and attorneys.

• Incorporate AI-driven functionalities into product workflows.

• Oversee frontend performance, accessibility, responsive behavior, browser compatibility, and production quality.

• Develop testing protocols for critical components and user workflows.

• Conduct code reviews, establish frontend standards, and offer technical mentorship to the current frontend developer.

⛳️ Requirements

• Proven experience in developing React and TypeScript applications with complex user workflows.

• Experience in defining frontend architecture for products featuring significant application state and extensive integration with backend services.

• In-depth knowledge of component architecture, state management, forms, routing, and sustainable frontend patterns.

• Experience in creating multi-step or workflow-driven applications with validation, conditional logic, persistence, recovery, and explicit error states.

• Familiarity with frontend authentication flows and role-sensitive interfaces, including controls that must be enforced by backend services.

• Experience collaborating with backend engineers to establish API contracts and data structures.

• Strong practices in accessibility, responsive design, browser compatibility, and frontend performance.

• Experience implementing automated frontend testing for essential components and user workflows.

• Ability to review code, set frontend standards, and provide technical mentorship to other frontend developers.

• Capability to work independently as the Senior Frontend React Engineer on a greenfield product while making sound architectural choices.

• Preferred: Experience in designing frontend experiences for AI-enabled workflows.

• Preferred: Experience in developing payment, client intake, or other state-sensitive workflows.

• Preferred: Background working with sensitive client data or within a regulated environment.

• Preferred: Experience collaborating closely with product and design teams to convert prototypes into production applications.
