Senior Frontend Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Russia.

📋 Description

• Create and uphold high-quality frontend applications and features.

• Produce clean, maintainable, and well-tested code with thorough unit and end-to-end testing coverage.

• Develop semantic, responsive, cross-browser, and cross-platform layouts that adhere to web standards and accessibility best practices.

• Design and implement reusable component systems while contributing to a shared UI library.

• Enhance application performance, focusing on rendering, bundle sizes, and Core Web Vitals.

• Collaborate with designers using Figma to ensure pixel-perfect and consistent implementations.

• Integrate with backend services and external APIs, establishing API contracts with backend engineers.

• Set up and optimize build tools, CI/CD pipelines, and Docker environments.

• Engage in code reviews, technical discussions, and architectural decisions.

• Mentor Middle and Junior engineers and assist in enhancing product quality.

• Collaborate within a product engineering team comprising frontend, backend, QA, and DevOps engineers alongside Product and Design.

• Take ownership of features from implementation and testing through to release and monitoring.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 5 years of professional frontend development experience.

• Advanced expertise in JavaScript (ES6+), encompassing asynchronous programming, prototype-based OOP, classes, and fundamentals of memory management.

• Extensive knowledge of TypeScript, including generics, utility types, custom type declarations, and the ability to extend library types.

• Significant experience with semantic, responsive, cross-browser, and cross-platform layouts.

• Familiarity with web standards and accessibility principles.

• Strong CSS skills, including proficiency in SASS/SCSS and CSS-in-JS solutions.

• Experience with modern frameworks like React, Vue, or similar technologies.

• Knowledge of state management techniques.

• Background in SSR/isomorphic applications.

• Experience in building component systems, including the compound components approach.

• Understanding of data structures, algorithm complexity, and common design patterns.

• Familiarity with basic caching techniques, such as LRU.

• Ability to break down tasks and distinguish business logic from framework/library code.

• Experience in configuring and optimizing Vite or Webpack.

• Familiarity with ESLint, StyleLint, Prettier, or Biome.

• Experience in writing unit and end-to-end tests.

• Understanding of REST API fundamentals and experience integrating with external services.

• Proficient in Docker.

• Strong skills in Git and GitLab.

• Confident in using Figma for design implementation.

• Good proficiency in written and spoken English.
