Senior Frontend Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Create, develop, and sustain web applications aimed at buyers, sales representatives, and brands.

• Assist in defining the architecture for the next-generation frontend platform, encompassing component design, state management, routing, data retrieval, and build tools.

• Assess and apply Progressive Web App and React Native/Expo methodologies across desktop, tablet, and mobile platforms.

• Develop experiences that are resilient and capable of functioning offline.

• Construct and maintain a reusable, accessible component library along with a design system.

• Oversee existing Angular applications and guide a potential transition to technologies like React.

• Collaborate with backend engineers to work on REST and GraphQL APIs.

• Ensure that frontend code complies with PCI DSS and security standards.

• Take ownership of frontend performance, including bundle size, rendering efficiency, Core Web Vitals, and responsiveness.

• Advocate for code reviews, automated testing, CI/CD, observability, and thorough documentation.

• Leverage AI-assisted development tools while maintaining correctness, security, and code maintainability.

• Manage features from design to production, which includes monitoring and operational support.

• Engage in small, incremental pull requests with a focus on continuous delivery.

• Mentor and assist engineers through technical leadership, design reviews, and pair programming.

• Resolve production issues and participate in an on-call rotation as necessary.

⛳️ Requirements

• Served as a senior engineer or technical lead on production frontend applications.

• Extensive expertise in React and its modern ecosystem, including hooks, functional components, context, and current state management and data-fetching methodologies.

• Strong command of TypeScript, with a proficient understanding of its type system.

• Familiarity with Angular, or the ability to rapidly become effective in an existing Angular codebase.

• Profound knowledge of HTML, CSS, browser APIs, and the browser rendering model.

• Experience in building responsive interfaces across desktop, tablet, and mobile devices.

• Experience in utilizing and shaping REST and/or GraphQL APIs.

• Familiarity with modern frontend testing tools such as Vitest, Jest, React Testing Library, and Playwright.

• Professional experience with AI coding tools, demonstrating sound judgment regarding their output and the handling of sensitive data.

• Experience with contemporary build tools such as Vite or webpack and CI/CD platforms like GitHub Actions.

• Strong grasp of web security fundamentals, including XSS, CSRF, CSP, and secure token management.

• Exceptional communication, collaboration, and problem-solving capabilities.

• Proven track record of mentoring engineers and spearheading technical initiatives.

• Self-driven and effective in a remote-first work environment.

• Preferred: experience with Progressive Web Apps, React Native/Expo, shared web/native components, frontend framework migrations, design systems, multi-tenant SaaS, frontend observability, payment processing/PCI DSS, ecommerce/B2B wholesale/field sales, API security, AI-assisted development practices, and Java/Spring Boot or other backend technologies.
