Senior Frontend Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Take ownership of a frontend domain from start to finish, encompassing architecture, quality, evolution, and behavior in production.

• Establish the technical direction for the frontend platform and design patterns that address product requirements.

• Assign significant build tasks to AI agents while writing code directly when debugging or complexity necessitates it.

• Tackle challenging frontend issues in production and lead the diagnosis of behavior, performance, or reliability challenges.

• Make trade-offs regarding browser support and remain accountable for delivered software and insights gained from incidents.

• Collaborate with Product, Design, QA, and full-stack engineers to develop effective solutions.

• Define standards for accessibility and testing, ensuring that modifications are verifiable prior to release.

• Empower consuming teams to adapt safely as the platform evolves.

• Mentor engineers, review significant changes, and ensure that strong engineering decisions can be consistently repeated.

⛳️ Requirements

• Extensive experience with TypeScript and modern frontend engineering.

• Significant application development background with Angular, React, or a similar framework.

• Knowledge of component architecture, state and reactive data flows, routing, rendering, APIs, asynchronous behavior, and frontend design considerations.

• Proficient in semantic HTML, CSS, DOM, event model, rendering, browser APIs, progressive enhancement, and cross-browser principles.

• Capability to diagnose frontend issues using profiling and developer tools.

• Experience in designing reusable frontend systems, including component API design, composition, tokens, theming, package and version management, migrations, and backward compatibility.

• Ability to design and manage frontend testing strategies at unit, component, interaction, visual-regression, and end-to-end levels.

• Skill in defining accessible interaction patterns and validating them with assistive technology.

• Proficiency in diagnosing rendering, network, and browser performance using instrumentation and evidence.

• In-depth understanding of frontend security and privacy, covering XSS, authentication and session handling, browser storage, sensitive data in logs, analytics and URLs, and third-party scripts.

• Technical leadership, sound decision-making, mentoring, and significant production and incident accountability.

• Experience with AI-first methodologies using agentic tools for planning, implementation, testing, and review.

• Familiarity with Jest, Testing Library, Playwright, Storybook, or similar tools is preferred.

• Practical expertise in Angular, experience with Storybook or visual-regression tools, or contributions to a shared component library are advantageous.
