Senior Frontend Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Cyprus.

📋 Description

• Develop and enhance React interfaces for an AI agent platform, which includes tools for conversation and prompt engineering, graph-based collaborative flow builders, agent configuration and testing interfaces, and analytics dashboards for calls.

• Create interfaces guided by Figma designs.

• Take ownership of and further develop the NestJS Backend for Frontend (BFF) layer.

• Integrate REST microservices using typed clients generated from OpenAPI.

• Manage authentication, pagination, streaming, and error contracts to maintain a streamlined frontend layer.

• Contribute to backend development utilizing PostgreSQL and Redis.

• Advance and sustain the frontend component ecosystem.

• Merge legacy Ant Design components into a Mantine-based design system.

• Oversee the shared UI library and Storybook.

• Maintain uniformity across various product applications.

• Ensure product quality through unit/component testing with Vitest and end-to-end testing with Playwright, focusing on critical user flows and SDK functionality.

• Collaborate with teams and product vertical teams on API contracts, SDK protocols, code reviews, bug fixes, quality assurance support, and testing scenarios.

• Participate in initiatives that require frontend or platform expertise.

• Work alongside the documentation team to develop and sustain integration guides and practical code examples.

⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of 6 years of professional experience in frontend or full-stack product development.

• At least 5 years of experience with React in a production environment.

• Strong expertise in TypeScript at a senior level, including strict mode, React 19, Vite, and monorepos.

• Over 2 years of server-side Node.js development experience.

• Practical experience in building and managing BFF or API gateway layers.

• Knowledge of service aggregation, authentication, pagination, error contracts, and clear BFF boundaries.

• Extensive production experience in microservice environments, ideally with 10 or more services.

• Experience in developing complex, stateful user interfaces such as graph/canvas editors or collaborative interfaces.

• Familiarity with features like undo/redo, optimistic updates, conflict resolution, and complex state management.

• Strong skills in frontend architecture and code organization, with familiarity in FSD or modular/layered architectures.

• Ability to collaborate effectively within an established team architecture.

• Strong product sensibility and independence in making UI and UX decisions based on product context and existing design systems.

• Practical experience in writing and maintaining unit/component tests using Vitest.

• Hands-on experience with end-to-end testing using Playwright.

• Proficient with React Query, Socket.io, Prisma, and PostgreSQL.

• Experience with AI-assisted development tools such as Claude Code, Cursor, Codex, GitHub Copilot, or similar coding assistance tools.

• Ability to discern where AI agents provide value and where human oversight is necessary.

• Experience with development workflows that integrate agent instructions and automated reviews into repositories/CI.

• Nice to have: Experience in shared component library ownership or migrating legacy UI to new design systems.

• Nice to have: Familiarity with real-time collaboration technologies such as Yjs, Automerge, or operational transforms.

• Nice to have: Knowledge of WebRTC or SIP in the browser.

• Nice to have: Experience with Prisma or Kysely and optimizing PostgreSQL queries.

• Nice to have: Familiarity with Kubernetes/Helm and OpenTelemetry or Prometheus.

• Nice to have: Domain experience in voice AI, telephony, contact centers, conversational AI, or LLM-based products.
