Senior Frontend Engineer, Ads Formats

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Create robust frontend strategies to minimize advertisement disruptions.

• Collaborate with the Ads and Web Platform teams to implement solutions within the shared rendering infrastructure, frontend architecture, and build systems.

• Design controlled experiments and phased rollouts, ensuring site performance, accessibility, and user experience are maintained.

• Develop instrumentation and monitoring systems to assess mitigation effectiveness, identify regressions, and inform iterations.

• Execute ad rendering, event collection, click handling, and browser extensions across various ad formats.

• Contribute to essential enhancements in web advertising reliability, performance, and measurement.

• Enhance engineering quality through technical design, testing, code reviews, documentation, and mentorship.

• Collaborate with product and design teams to clarify ambiguous requirements and balance product and engineering trade-offs.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 5 years of experience in developing production web applications using JavaScript, TypeScript, and/or React.

• Proficient in utilizing Codex, Cursor, Claude, or similar agentic coding tools in everyday software development.

• Proven ability to independently deliver intricate frontend projects from technical design to launch and subsequent iterations.

• Sound decision-making skills in frontend architecture, state management, component design, testing, and API integration.

• Experience in creating polished user interfaces with a focus on usability, performance, accessibility, and maintainability.

• Capability to navigate through ambiguous product and technical challenges effectively.

• Excellent communication and collaboration skills across engineering, product, design, and data disciplines.

• Familiarity with using instrumentation, experimentation, or product metrics to enhance user experiences.

• Commitment to improving engineering quality through code reviews, documentation, and technical mentorship.

• Proficient in JavaScript, TypeScript, HTML, CSS, the DOM, and browser networking.

• Experience with contemporary frontend testing, experimentation, and observability tools.
