Senior Frontend Developer – Tech Lead

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Estonia.

• Utilize expertise in React and Next.js to enhance front-end architecture, performance, and integrations.

⛳️ Requirements

• 5 to 8 years of relevant experience.

• Advanced proficiency in React, Next.js, TypeScript, and modern hooks-based component design.

• Capability to design scalable front-end architectures with a single source of truth and distinct boundaries between UI, business logic, and data access.

• Experience in designing reusable component libraries and ensuring consistent component APIs.

• Extensive knowledge of Zustand, Redux Toolkit, or a similar state-management solution, including efficient selector design.

• Strong skills in HTML, CSS, and SCSS, focusing on responsive design, accessibility, and style isolation.

• Experience in implementing interfaces from detailed visual specifications and utilizing design systems such as IBM Carbon or Material UI.

• Solid REST API integration experience, encompassing typed models, adapters, polling, and defensive handling of missing or inconsistent data.

• Experience in defining or validating API contracts with backend teams and applying contract-testing principles.

• Proven performance expertise, which includes profiling, memoization, code splitting, lazy loading, and bundle analysis.

• Understanding of frame rate, GPU utilization, and memory behavior on graphics-intensive screens.

• Practical experience with WebGL, three.js, or React Three Fiber, including scene and camera control, pointer picking, and animation timelines.

• Experience in managing events and interactions across layered UI and graphics surfaces.

• Familiarity with integrating map SDKs, managing coordinate systems, implementing provider fallbacks, and securely handling API tokens.

• Ability to build components that seamlessly integrate into an existing host application using clean props and callbacks, isolated styles, and without unintended global side effects.

• Strong testing experience with Vitest or Jest and React Testing Library, supported by a practical testing strategy.

• Experience with strict TypeScript, error boundaries, cross-browser testing, and browser DevTools.

• Involvement in CI/CD pipelines, Git workflows, and high-quality pull-request reviews.

• Experience with Azure DevOps.

• Demonstrated technical leadership through mentoring, task breakdown, estimation, and technical documentation.

• Understanding of front-end security fundamentals, including secure environment configuration, safe logging, and responsible use of third-party dependencies.

• Good to have: advanced animation libraries such as GSAP or Framer Motion.

• Good to have: charting and data-visualization libraries.

• Good to have: visual regression testing or end-to-end testing using Playwright.

• Good to have: internationalization and localization at scale.

• Good to have: micro-frontends, monorepos, or design-system governance.

• Good to have: production observability, release support, and incident investigation.
