Senior Front-end Engineer, React

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Australia, +1 more country.

📋 Description

• Develop and deliver high-quality Studio product user interfaces utilizing React and TypeScript.

• Take full ownership of intricate frontend features from conception to completion, encompassing architecture, implementation, refinement, and production follow-through.

• Enhance load times, runtime responsiveness, rendering, and perceived speed within a complex creative/AI product.

• Collaborate with Product Design to transform Figma designs into executable experiences and enhance them collectively.

• Suggest improved interactions, component patterns, UX enhancements, and technical strategies that aid creators in working more efficiently.

• Elevate frontend code quality through clarity, maintainability, appropriate testing, and reusable systems.

• Work with APIs, state management, and real-time or media-intensive workflows.

• Partner with backend and platform engineers to create reliable, scalable product experiences.

• Leverage AI tools to expedite engineering tasks while upholding standards.

• Contribute to the shaping of frontend standards, reviews, and technical direction as a senior member of the team.

• Keep up-to-date with React, TypeScript, frontend performance methodologies, and AI product user experience patterns.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 5 years of professional frontend engineering experience producing live web applications.

• High proficiency in React and TypeScript within real product codebases.

• Thorough understanding of frontend performance aspects, including rendering, bundling, caching, profiling, and resolving actual bottlenecks.

• Proven experience in developing complex, interactive product UIs such as dashboards, editors, creative tools, or similarly advanced applications.

• Comfortable utilizing AI tools to enhance engineering productivity.

• Proficient in written and spoken English.

• Creative and proactive, with the confidence to propose ideas rather than simply executing briefs.

• Excels in uncertain situations and can clarify ambiguous requirements, make informed choices, and maintain a steady workflow.

• Self-sufficient and resourceful, able to overcome obstacles, quickly find solutions, and take charge of delivery while collaborating effectively with design and engineering teams.

• Must currently reside in Australia or New Zealand.
