Senior Foundry Integration Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Washington.

📋 Description

• Take charge of and implement process integration strategies across external commercial foundries to enhance and stabilize fabrication workflows.

• Develop, organize, and lead experiments aimed at accelerating learning and advancing product performance.

• Create experiments, evaluate fabrication and measurement outcomes, and consolidate data into concise technical insights.

• Identify subsequent process enhancements and development priorities informed by experimental results.

• Spearhead technical collaboration with foundries, ensuring alignment on integration objectives, process assumptions, and learning goals.

• Convert system-level and device-level requirements into executable fabrication strategies.

• Work together with internal teams in nanofabrication, design, modeling, yield, and systems to produce chips that support core technology.

• Facilitate a successful production ramp of chips by enhancing yield, reproducibility, and process reliability.

• Coordinate efforts among internal design, modeling, and systems teams while acting as a technical liaison to external foundry partners.

• Assist in establishing development priorities, enhancing reproducibility, and enabling the scalability of quantum computing systems.

⛳️ Requirements

• Master’s degree or PhD in Electrical Engineering, Physics, Materials Science, or a closely related discipline.

• Over 3 years of professional experience in process integration, semiconductor fabrication, or similar roles.

• Practical experience working in or with a commercial semiconductor foundry.

• Strong grasp of semiconductor process integration, unit processes, and cross-module interactions in both foundry and university cleanrooms.

• Background and insight in silicon photonics fabrication and design.

• Proven ability to design experiments, assess data, and make data-driven technical decisions.

• Exceptional communication skills and comfort in collaborating across organizational and corporate boundaries.

• Experience in supporting semiconductor technologies from development through to production ramp.

• Familiarity with advanced photonic, electronic, or heterogeneous integration platforms.

• Previous experience acting as a technical liaison between internal R&D teams and external manufacturing partners.

• Record of expediting learning cycles in intricate fabrication settings.
