This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California.
• Spearhead significant customer technical projects by delivering production-ready systems, designing and constructing reference architectures, custom applications, as well as data ingestion and integration of ML/AI models.
• Support strategic customers in executing transformative big data initiatives, encompassing end-to-end design, development, and deployment of leading big data and AI applications.
• Advise customers on architecture and design; either bootstrap or implement customer projects that facilitate a successful understanding, evaluation, and adoption of Databricks.
• Direct architecture and design choices, ensuring solutions are secure, scalable, and aligned with both customer requirements and Databricks best practices.
• Collaborate with the Databricks technical team, Project Manager, Architect, and the Customer team to ensure the technical components of the engagement are delivered in accordance with customer needs.
• Partner with Engineering and Databricks Customer Support to provide feedback on products and implementations, as well as to facilitate swift resolutions for engagement-specific product and support challenges.
• Integrate with customer teams, engaging with stakeholders ranging from technical individual contributors to executives to thoroughly understand challenges and deliver impactful solutions.
• Contribute to accelerators, frameworks, and best practices that amplify impact across accounts and influence the Databricks product roadmap.
• A minimum of 6 years of experience in data engineering, data platforms & analytics, or software engineering.
• Proficient in coding with Python, Scala, JavaScript/TypeScript, and modern frameworks.
• Familiarity with two or more prevalent Cloud ecosystems (AWS, Azure, GCP), with expertise in at least one.
• Extensive experience with distributed computing using Apache Spark™ and understanding of Spark runtime internals.
• Knowledge of CI/CD processes for production deployments.
• Working knowledge of MLOps, ML/AI models, and AI APIs.
• Experience in designing and deploying high-performance production end-to-end data architectures and applications that integrate data pipelines, ML/AI models, and user-facing interfaces.
• Proven track record in technical project delivery - managing scope, timelines, and measurable outcomes, while translating complex concepts into actionable solutions.
• Strong documentation and whiteboarding skills.
• Experience collaborating with enterprise clients and managing conflicts across a diverse range of stakeholders.
• Ability to develop skills in technical areas, demonstrating curiosity, adaptability, and a willingness to explore new technologies that support the deployment and integration of Databricks-based solutions to complete customer projects.
• Willingness to travel to customers 20% of the time.
• Databricks Certification.
