Senior Forward Deployed Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Canada.

📋 Description

• Deploy on-site with strategic clients to comprehensively map security, risk, and compliance workflows.

• Identify areas where value is diminished due to manual efforts or disconnected tools.

• Collect requirements from both practitioners and executives while understanding dependencies among people, processes, and data.

• Integrate SecurityScorecard into the existing data, logic, and processes of customers.

• Develop AI-native solutions utilizing LLMs, ML models, and contemporary AI tools to automate analysis and decrease manual tasks.

• Conduct data analysis and data science on customer and platform data, including converting ratings into Annualized Loss Expectancy, Value at Risk, and ROI.

• Design and implement integrations, pipelines, and tools to connect SecurityScorecard with SIEM, GRC, ticketing, and data warehouse systems.

• Architect and deploy solutions across AWS, Azure, and GCP environments.

• Prototype solutions in the field and refine them into supportable, production-grade software.

• Act as a liaison between Product, Engineering, and customers while incorporating field patterns into the roadmap.

• Manage technical relationships with key accounts during renewal and expansion phases, in collaboration with Customer Success and Sales Engineering.

• Travel to customer locations for workshops, technical deep dives, and go-live support.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 6 years of engineering or technical deployment experience that includes customer-facing roles.

• Practical experience in building with AI, using LLMs, agentic frameworks, or ML models as fundamental components in delivered solutions.

• A proven history of developing AI-powered products or features, along with a clear perspective on how AI transforms forward-deployed work.

• Competence in data analysis/data science, including risk quantification, benchmarking, and exposure modeling.

• Demonstrated ability to independently deliver production code in fast-paced, ambiguous, customer-centric environments.

• Strong full-stack proficiency: backend services, APIs, scripting, data pipelines, and integration patterns such as REST, webhooks, SSO/SAML, and SIEM connectors.

• Extensive architectural design experience across AWS, Azure, and GCP.

• Experience conducting discovery sessions with enterprise stakeholders, from practitioners to executive sponsors, and translating that into a technical solution.

• Exceptional communication skills, capable of bridging technical details with business or financial implications.

• Proactive mindset with a comfort for navigating ambiguity.

• Previous experience in cybersecurity, GRC, or risk management is highly advantageous.

• Willingness to travel to customer sites, generally 30 to 40% based on account load.
