Senior Fire Protection Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Pennsylvania.

📋 Description

• Collaborate with engineering and design teams on designated projects.

• Provide effective and cost-efficient alternatives and solutions for fire protection initiatives.

• Develop and present client reports suggesting updates to maintain compliance and operational functionality of fire suppression and life safety systems.

• Offer references for fire protection codes and standards, conduct document research, and provide reports and interpretations.

• Engage with jurisdictional authorities and clients to address compliance inquiries.

• Continuously assess and maintain an up-to-date understanding of evolving codes, standards, industry specifications, and practices.

• Execute customer-facing project tasks with authorities having jurisdiction (AHJs) and clients.

• Work independently and efficiently from a home office.

⛳️ Requirements

• A Bachelor’s degree or a combination of equivalent experience and nationally recognized certifications.

• Successful completion of the EIT Examination.

• Eligibility to sit for the Professional Engineering examination within four years.

• Willingness to travel up to 50%, primarily within the US and Canada.

• Authorization to work in the United States.

• Residence within one hour of a major US airport.

• Proficient understanding of Fire, Life Safety, and Building Codes as well as NFPA Standards.

• Experience in field engineering or consulting related to fire protection.

• Familiarity with or knowledge of passive fire protection systems.

• Strong time management skills with the ability to meet deadlines and budget constraints.

• Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.

• Proficient in MS Office and MS Project software.
