This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Develop and enhance the FinOps operating model across IaaS, PaaS, SaaS, AWS, Azure, and GCP.
• Implement cost governance standards for cloud and enterprise SaaS platforms.
• Collaborate with engineering and architecture teams to make cost-conscious design and migration decisions.
• Maintain FinOps playbooks, policies, and dashboards.
• Create spend-visibility dashboards categorized by product, feature, tenant/client, and team.
• Generate and distribute cloud cost reports across various business units and environments.
• Provide access to cloud and AI billing data for analytics and reporting tools, enabling automated export to finance systems.
• Establish unit economics for customers, operations, API requests, and AI token usage.
• Develop robust multi-tenant cost-allocation logic.
• Identify and evaluate opportunities for cloud cost optimization using cloud-native tools and Adaptive 6.
• Manage Reserved Instances, Savings Plans, committed-use discounts, and SaaS contract utilization.
• Set budget and forecast-based spend alarms.
• Oversee anomaly investigations from detection through to root-cause analysis and resolution.
• Create cloud and SaaS spend forecasts that integrate sales forecasts, product roadmap initiatives, and migration waves.
• Provide executive reporting on spending, trends, and realized savings.
• Support Finance-led chargeback and showback initiatives while ensuring the quality of cost data.
• Manage cloud tagging taxonomy and compliance, including standards, monitoring, and remediation.
• Assist in financial controls and audits through billing and subscription documentation.
• Administer and enhance the FinOps tooling stack.
• Utilize AI tools to automate reporting, anomaly triage, and optimization analysis.
• Conduct regular cost reviews with engineering, platform leads, and Finance.
• Collaborate with Procurement and Vendor Management regarding cloud and SaaS commercial agreements.
• A minimum of 5-7 years of relevant experience in FinOps, cloud financial management, or IT financial analysis.
• Practical experience with cloud cost reporting, allocation, and optimization in a large-scale enterprise setting.
• A Bachelor's degree in Finance, Information Systems, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• In-depth knowledge of cost and usage data along with SQL-based billing analysis, preferably on AWS.
• Strong skills in exploratory data analysis.
• Experience supporting data center exit and cloud migration initiatives.
• Understanding of the financial implications of cloud migration and hybrid cost models encompassing on-prem, cloud infrastructure, and SaaS subscriptions.
• FinOps experience within a B2B SaaS organization featuring multi-tenant architecture.
• Experience in attributing shared infrastructure costs to customers or product features.
• Background in establishing tagging, chargeback/showback, and cost allocation models across cloud and SaaS ecosystems.
• Familiarity with BI tools such as AWS QuickSight, Tableau, Looker, or similar platforms.
• Proficient in spreadsheet applications and forecasting models using Excel or Google Sheets.
• Understanding of cloud billing, pricing structures, and cost management tools.
• Familiarity with savings mechanisms in AWS/Azure/GCP, including Savings Plans, Committed Use Discounts, Reserved Instances, and Spot Instances.
• Proven ownership in forecasting, governance, and optimization.
• Experience with AI-assisted analysis or reporting workflows, as well as tracking AI/LLM token usage and expenditures.
• Preferred: FinOps Foundation Practitioner or Professional certification.
• Preferred: AWS Cloud Practitioner or Associate-level certification.
• Preferred: Proficiency in SQL or scripting with Python or PowerShell for cloud billing data manipulation.
• Preferred: Expertise in SaaS cost governance for enterprise platforms such as Splunk, Dynatrace, or Salesforce.
• Preferred: Background in healthcare IT, health plan administration, financial services, or regulated industries.
• Preferred: Experience establishing a FinOps practice or chargeback program from the ground up.
• Preferred: Familiarity with infrastructure-as-code concepts and IaC pipelines.
• Ability to operate across multiple time zones in a hybrid or remote work setting.
