Senior FinCrime Prevention Specialist

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Cyprus.

📋 Description

• Carry out detailed due diligence on high-net-worth and high-value clientele.

• Review and authenticate KYC documentation, including sources of wealth and funds.

• Evaluate customer risk profiles and assign suitable risk ratings.

• Identify and report red flags, sanctions hits, and adverse media coverage.

• Collaborate with Sales, Branch managers, and onboarding teams to ensure compliant client acceptance.

• Conduct regular reviews of high-value client accounts.

• Monitor transactional activities for any unusual or suspicious patterns.

• Investigate transaction monitoring alerts and document the findings.

• Suggest risk reclassification when necessary.

• Assist in the preparation of SAR/STR and escalate to the MLRO.

• Ensure compliance with AML/CTF regulations, internal policies, and global standards.

• Keep accurate, audit-ready client records and case documentation.

• Engage in internal audits, regulatory reviews, and remediation actions.

• Contribute to updates in policies and improvements in processes for managing high-value client risks.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 5 years of experience in AML, KYC, or financial crime compliance within a fintech or banking organization.

• Demonstrated experience managing high-risk or high-net-worth/VIP client portfolios.

• Experience in enhanced due diligence and transaction monitoring investigations.

• Capability to evaluate complex client structures, PEP exposure, and cross-border risks.

• Exceptional analytical and investigative abilities.

• High level of integrity and sound judgment.

• Proactive, organized, and adept at thriving in a fast-paced environment.

• Ability to balance compliance demands with delivering a premium client experience.
