Senior Financial Controller – AI-Enabled

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Mexico.

📋 Description

• Oversee the month-end and year-end financial close processes for businesses located in the US.

• Utilize AI tools, including ChatGPT Advanced Data Analysis and Microsoft Copilot, to analyze financial datasets, detect spending irregularities, and create narrative performance reports.

• Create and maintain rolling cash flow forecasts, financial models, and annual budgets through AI-assisted forecasting software.

• Implement and manage AI-driven OCR and AP/AR automation tools to enhance invoice processing and minimize errors.

• Prepare and deliver monthly financial performance packages, encompassing P&L, Balance Sheet, and Cash Flow, to executive leadership.

• Collaborate with external CPA firms on tax preparation and compliance obligations.

• Supervise the financial health of expanding US-based SMEs and provide strategic financial insights.

⛳️ Requirements

• 4–6+ years of progressive experience in Financial Controlling, FP&A, or Corporate Finance.

• Demonstrated experience supporting companies or clients based in the U.S.

• Strong understanding of US GAAP and financial reporting standards.

• Hands-on experience in managing month-end and year-end closing activities.

• Proficient in preparing and analyzing P&L, Balance Sheet, Cash Flow, budgets, and financial forecasts.

• Advanced skills in QuickBooks Online, Xero, or NetSuite.

• Practical experience utilizing AI tools like ChatGPT and Microsoft Copilot for financial analysis, reporting, forecasting, and process automation.

• Familiarity with financial automation, OCR, and AP/AR tools such as Bill.com or Dext.

• Advanced English proficiency (C1), with excellent executive communication and presentation abilities.

• Advanced skills in Excel and financial modeling.

• Experience in implementing AI-powered financial workflows.

• Expertise in cash flow forecasting, budgeting, variance analysis, and financial modeling.

• Experience coordinating with external CPA firms on tax and compliance issues.

• Ability to build automated reports, macros, and complex Excel formulas.

• High levels of integrity, independence, and motivation to transform traditional financial workflows.
