This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Take full responsibility for the profit and loss of the Enterprise Laboratory Instrument Services program, which includes labor, parts, travel, tooling, and vendor pass-through.
• Manage the monthly financial close process, encompassing accruals, prepayments, and reconciliation with the general ledger.
• Analyze and interpret margin performance across regions, sites, and service lines.
• Oversee forecasts and re-forecasts, providing explanations for variances.
• Identify and report on margin erosion, particularly regarding scope growth that exceeds the priced baseline.
• Ensure billing accuracy in accordance with contractual pricing, including details like named headcount, rate lines, and pass-through mechanics.
• Verify that each billed line is traceable to a contractual basis prior to invoicing.
• Manage the billing calendar and address client billing inquiries.
• Ensure revenue recognition aligns with Renovo policy.
• Handle commercial mechanics such as invoicing frequency, payment terms, and float position.
• Manage financial calculations for change orders, material scope changes, and pricing proposals.
• Establish cost bases for new or expanded scopes based on actual loaded costs.
• Maintain the savings baseline and validate that claimed savings correspond to prior contract prices or labor costs.
• Model the financial implications of self-performance and RenovoCare conversion.
• Provide financial insights during client business reviews and internal commercial decision-making processes.
• Oversee the annual budget cycle in collaboration with Regional Directors and sites.
• Deliver actionable site-level budget and expenditure data.
• Manage the headcount cost model, including loaded costs, burden, and rate calculations.
• Assist with workforce and capacity planning while considering cost implications.
• Lead Finance Analysts in work allocation, professional development, and performance management.
• Ensure financial controls are in place, including approval limits and segregation of duties.
• Support internal and client audits by maintaining traceable financial records.
• Document methods to ensure that every reported financial measure can be reproduced.
• Report to the Director of Sourcing and Payments, collaborating with Regional Directors of Operations, the Program Analyst, and Accounts Payable Coordinators.
• A minimum of 7 years’ experience in financial analysis, management accounting, commercial finance, or program finance.
• At least 2 years of experience in a leadership role within a finance team or function.
• Proven track record of ownership over a contract or program's profit and loss, including the monthly closing process.
• Demonstrated experience ensuring billing accuracy in line with a contractual pricing structure.
• Experience in constructing cost bases for change orders, pricing proposals, or business cases based on actual loaded costs.
• Strong modeling skills and the discipline to clearly demonstrate the arithmetic chain.
• Proficiency with enterprise resource planning and reporting systems.
• Experience in a service, outsourcing, or regulated technical service environment is highly desirable.
• A Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, economics, or business is required.
• A professional accounting qualification is preferred.
• Training in GxP, data integrity, and client site safety is either provided or required.
• Ability to adhere to Renovo safety policies and any applicable customer site safety requirements.
• Capability to comply with OSHA guidelines and specific laboratory or facility procedures.
• Willingness to wear necessary personal protective equipment while on-site.
• Availability to travel approximately 10 to 20 percent of the time.
• Ability to work in active laboratory environments that may involve biological, chemical, electrical, and cryogenic hazards when on client sites.
