Senior Financial Analyst – Procurement

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Collaborate with leaders from Procurement, Supply Chain, Operations, Treasury, Accounting, and FP&A to enhance margin, cash flow, inventory productivity, working capital, and forecast precision.

• Monitor, validate, and report on procurement savings, supplier rebates, cost-reduction efforts, improvements in payment terms, productivity enhancements, and value realization across both direct and indirect expenditures.

• Examine supplier spending, category and commodity trends, freight and logistics expenses, inventory performance, supplier concentration, payment practices, and other factors influencing working capital.

• Utilize spend analytics to identify and prioritize cost-reduction opportunities based on supplier, category, business unit, product family, region, and purchasing owner.

• Oversee financial analysis, forecasting, and reporting for DPO, supplier payment terms, inventory, cash conversion cycle, free cash flow, and various other working capital metrics.

• Create financial models, business cases, sensitivity analyses, and scenario plans related to sourcing, supplier negotiations, contract modifications, inventory strategies, logistics decisions, and operational enhancements.

• Assess the financial impact on gross margin, operating income, EBITDA, the balance sheet, and cash flow.

• Track performance against approved business cases and commitments.

• Assist in the development of annual plans, forecasts, long-term strategies, and strategic financial planning.

• Integrate spend baselines, validated savings, timing, ownership, inventory performance, and working capital initiatives.

• Construct and maintain Power BI dashboards, KPI scorecards, supplier reporting, and executive summaries.

• Present insights and recommendations to senior leaders, challenge existing assumptions, identify root causes, influence decisions, and support corrective actions.

• Discover opportunities for automating reporting, simplifying processes, strengthening controls, and enhancing decision-making.

• Execute other responsibilities as assigned.

⛳️ Requirements

• A Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Supply Chain, Engineering, Data Analytics, Business, or a related discipline.

• A minimum of seven (7) years of experience in FP&A, procurement finance, supply chain finance, consulting, operations finance, cost improvement, or a related field.

• Proficient in financial modeling, forecasting, analytical thinking, and structured problem-solving.

• Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel, Power BI, and financial analysis tools.

• Capability to work with large, complex data sets while ensuring precision and business relevance.

• Skill in transforming complex operational and financial data into actionable business insights.

• Exceptional written, verbal, presentation, and executive communication abilities.

• Proficient in building trusted partnerships, leading cross-functional initiatives, and influencing decisions across various functional areas.

• Strong self-motivation, accountability for deliverables, and the ability to work independently as well as collaboratively.

• Capacity to exercise discretion and independent judgment.

• Willingness to travel by air and ground and comply with the Daktronics Driver Eligibility Policy.

• Fluent in English, both written and verbal.

• Candidates must be 18 years of age or older.

• Preferred: Experience in supporting procurement, sourcing, supplier management, supply chain, inventory, working capital, or enterprise cost-reduction initiatives.

• Preferred: Background in electronics manufacturing, technology hardware, industrial manufacturing, engineered products, or complex global supply chain environments.

• Preferred: Familiarity with ERP systems, procurement systems, planning tools, and financial reporting platforms.

• Preferred: Experience with SQL, data visualization tools, spend analytics, supplier reporting, or advanced analytics techniques.

• Preferred: History of developing business cases, value-capture frameworks, executive presentations, and implementation roadmaps.

• Preferred: Experience in a public company setting.

• Preferred: Prior consulting experience in strategy, procurement transformation, operational improvement, restructuring, value creation, supply chain optimization, or working capital enhancement.

• Preferred: CPA, CMA, MBA, or another relevant professional certification.
