Senior Financial Analyst, FP&A – R&D

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Lead the monthly closing process by analyzing monthly performance, preparing variance commentary, managing accruals, and highlighting risks and opportunities to finance and R&D leadership.

• Oversee headcount and expense planning through support for monthly forecasts and the annual operating plan.

• Develop a deep understanding of the P&L to identify performance drivers.

• Craft strategic narratives and collaborate with leadership on impactful ad hoc analyses.

• Deliver data-driven insights on budgets, strategic trade-offs, and decisions related to business growth.

• Discover opportunities to automate, expedite, and enhance processes utilizing AI.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant discipline with a strong academic record.

• 3–5 years of experience in FP&A, strategic finance, or a similar analytical position, ideally at a rapidly growing technology firm.

• Proven experience in financial modeling and strategic business planning, including the development and execution of solid financial plans.

• Proficient in problem-solving and able to operate independently in a dynamic, uncertain environment.

• Strong grasp of FP&A principles, including variance analysis, variance storytelling, budgeting, forecasting, headcount management, and reporting.

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to convey complex information clearly and concisely to both finance and non-finance audiences.

• Regularly utilizes AI tools to enhance efficiency and depth of analysis.
